It took me quite a while to share my latest build - I started it back in the beginning of 2017 with an Intel SkyLake platform and an AMD RX 470 GPU. I haven't had a gaming rig for about 10 years and the configuration I started with was pretty much enough for my needs.
But then... I fell upon pcpartpicker, I saw all these fancy machines and the sickness got me damn quickly. I was on a very limited budget for the next year and also the prices in the GPU and RAM segments went crazy - so I was waiting quietly in my shell, putting every penny I could on the side until the chance to get the GPU I wanted got real (I snapped it on a deal for about 500 euro here in Eastern Europe in May this year) and also NZXT released this gorgeous case - like exactly for my taste.
I don't see any advantage in paying the price for an AIO, except the ease of build so I spared me a 100 bucks and took the H7 Quad Lumi - it's beatiful, and does a perfect job with my Ryzen 1700 keeping it at a maximum of 55 degrees Celsius while clocked via voltage offset of 0.0250 at 3.8GHz.
I also could have gotten a better and higher frequency memory I suppose, but I had that one from my previous build and didn't want to break the bank any further, I have already changed the MoBo, the CPU, the GPU, the PSU, the cooler, the case aaand the monitor :)
The rig performs as a beast and I have never seen thermal issues, actually never passed 55 degrees C on the CPU and 75 on the GPU. What really makes things amazing though is that marvelous (for the price) monitor.
Can't wait for your judgement and comments! Thanks!
