Description

I am proud to reveal my first ever build in the Aerocool Quartz RGB case. I went full out AMD with the Ryzen 2700x and Vega 56, with a Freesync monitor to match.

I hope that my build will show you that you can create an amazing system on a budget, if you just shop around for the best deals.

Nice photos! How do you like the Vega?

The Vega has gotten such a bad reputation, it's so unjust. I can overclock it pretty well and I can underclock it and produce decent frames with barely any heat.

How much power on average does it consume at full load?

I couldn't honestly tell you. However, during gaming, rendering and heavy multitasking the fan on the PSU still doesn't spin. From that I can gather that PSU is well within its comfort zone.

Thank you! If I was featured that would be incredible, I can't see that happening though unfortunately.

Excellent well rounded build. How are thermals?

Thank you! Thermals at first were a little warm on the GPU side, but since undervolting the Vega 56 I have noticed performance increases and reduced thermals. Even when gaming my rig is silent. With the microphone 10cm away it reads 38 dB. If i move the microphone to ear level when in use - the rig is on the floor directly right to me - the readings are 28dB. Really rather surprising given that i have 6 fans total in the build too.

By any chance can you include a picture of the monitor please, but that is one sexy build +1

I will by the end of the year, for now my setup doesn't match the quality of the gear on it.

How do like the monitor, can it be overclocked to 75hz? I like it's specs especially the HDR but wondering how it fares at just 60hz.

It can do 75hz perfectly, not any issues with it at all. Really beautiful monitor, the colours a punchy and accurate. For an IPS display the contrast is surprisingly good!

How did you like the Quartz Case? I built inside of it myself and I were quite surpised for a glass case in that price range.
