Description

For this month's featured build guide video, we started with our Great Gaming Build Guide, but added a few tweaks.

We wanted a motherboard with RGB LED support to allow us to easily add a software controllable strip along the LED light channel in the DUKASE V2. The ASUS Strix B250F with Aura support fit the bill perfectly. We also wanted to upgrade the CPU Cooler to something a bit nicer than the stock cooler just to improve the look of the build through the case's large side window.

One other change we considered was replacing the included rear fan with either a non-LED fan or something that could match the RGB lighting elsewhere in the case. If you wanted complete control of the colors, that'd be a good choice, but we decided to embrace the static color fan and power button LEDs. We used the lighting zones provided by the ASUS Aura software to create a complimentary lighting scheme around them.

A special thanks to ASUS for providing the motherboard and graphics card used in this build.

Battlefield 1 @ 1080p?

Feras___nassr2002 1 point 3 months ago

Yea bro, the graphics card can run bf1 at 1080p with 90fps max settings. 30fps at 4k (bf1). You can basically run any game at 1080p with at least 60fps.

too good - could this same config support an i7 with a 1080 instead, and an AIO water loop?

Great build !

Have you noticed the Asus Strix B250F Motherboard Boot_Device_LED stays lit after waking up from sleep mode? Wondering if anyone else having the same issue.

We usually don't have sleep enabled during our testing, so it didn't come up. I believe that system is still built though. Can try to see if ours does it. Are you running the latest BIOS/motherboard drivers/etc?

Cherish 1 point 3 months ago

Would be really great if you could help test it. I'm on the latest BIOS and Motherboard drivers. Thanks.
