Gaming Build #1 (Updated)

by TheMrpancake

Description

My first build ever, as messy as the set up is, it still took me while to put everything together.

Nothing special or outrageous but i love it.

P.S. i realize both my camera and my photography skills are garbage.

(Update)/

Got different cables made them look nicer this time, made the GPU holster work vertically, best part is i got a free SSD, earlier when i ordered the parts, my bother asked me to buy an SSD for his workstation like the one im getting, now he decided he needed more space and went for a mechanical drive instead and gave his to me for free, hell yeah. Guess i dont have to worry about storage for the rest of my life.

I also decided to swap the intake fans, after i tested them compared to the corsair AF140's, got less noise and more air, good thing i had a couple laying around. Still no benchs have been done yet, but playing @1440p smooth as butter.

That MSI graphics card pole thingy is pretty interesting, do you really think you need it though? I don't imagine you would get much if any sag?

Or are you as paranoid as I am when it comes to this stuff?

TheMrpancake submitter 1 Build 3 points 32 months ago

Do i need it?

Absolutely not, the slight sag on the GPU REALLY bothered me, i am as paranoid as a person could get lol.

And it's actually supposed to be vertical, but i didnt account for my case's height clearance, so i had to improvise, and it worked.

Good stuff :)

Paranoia has it benefits aswell, in the fact that your PCIe slot is now extra safe from gravity :P

I was wondering why it was going across your case, but if it works it works. Good improvisation +1

hello sir, I own an ATX Evolv phanteks mid tower. I recently ordered the msi gpu bolsters. will it really not fit vertically in the case?? Thank you sir.

despair007 1 point 31 months ago

Sir will the MSI GPU Bolster fit vertically with the Phanteks evolv atx mid tower????

TheMrpancake submitter 1 Build 1 point 31 months ago

It will likely fit, evolv ATX is a bit larger than the Pro m. I actually managed to get to fit vertically in my case now with a little bit of modding, took some time to figure out a solution, but you should be fine.

sir how long is the bolster by holding the stick inside?? can you show some pics of the mod you made? tnx :)

Brah i'm getting my phone fixed, dont have a camera at the moment, i just removed the rubber feet and inserted the narrow part of the bottom inside one of the mesh holes in the case

Nice build ! But seriously why the 980 Ti?

Enrico411 3 points 32 months ago

its still an amazing GPU. If you can get it for a great price why not he.

TheMrpancake submitter 1 Build 3 points 32 months ago

I ordered the parts way before the 1080 was released, some delays happens thats why i've just uploaded this build.

That MasterAir Maker is a thing of beauty! I've got a V8 GTS in mine and wish I could have afforded to spring for the MasterAir Maker. Nice build!

TheMrpancake submitter 1 Build 1 point 31 months ago

I just love how these heat sinks look and perform.
