Hi all, I'm back. Let me start off with my god, this case was extremely easy to work with. No hassle at all. I did some paint job to it because I didn't like the red shroud/screws. Why did I bought the red version of the case then, you may ask. Well its because I bought this case when it was on sale literally 1 month ago where it came with a "free" cooler (CORSAIR Hydro Series H60) bundle of total cost to be $120. Pretty worth to me.

I wanted to mount 2x 360 radiator in here but I couldn't find a way to do that, I tried looking everywhere and have not yet seen a mod that fit my wants. What I did instead was I went for a 240GTS X-Flow, still does the job so no complains there.

I also mounted an EK-Chrome back plate to the FTW3, I was suppose to mount it already in my previously build but I ruin the thermal pads due to not knowing which sides goes on the PCB.

Moving on to the fans, at first I did not like the looks of Corsair LL fans. It didn't satisfy me. The software is pretty bad, couldn't detect my lighting node pro. Although once it did, my lighting profile changed every 30 second or so. It didn't stay static (White) like I wanted to.

I did ran into some problems during my time building this. I didn't know a way to make the loop look clean and organize until the very last minute. Spending hours sketching my loop out in Sniping Tool and it all went to waste. One of the threading in the GPU waterblock terminal was damage, and I didn't realized this until I took apart my build from the Evolv. Everyday the coolant in the reservoir is decreasing and I was curious why, but now I know. The problem resolved by me contacting PPCS (Where I bought it) and they message EK to send me a new terminal.

Now running a pumpres horizontal mount was definitely scary to me, I've talked to some of the expert in the watercooling discord and they told me I would have a hard time bleeding at first, the pump will have a gap where the coolant wouldn't reach to and during the times where I was putting my 2nd loop together. I kept having thoughts if this would work out or not. Which it did and I'm pretty happy about it! :D

Yes, I put a roll of tape cover with “black strip” underneath the reservoir. I did this because without, my pump would be running a bit dry and the reservoir will sags a lot

Also, there was no clearance for me to cool the VRM because of the top radiator+fan configuration. I couldn’t fit a fitting or a 90 degree there.

+1 for $1500 do not touch sign on GPU. Also, nice build.

This is insane.... in the best way possible! Good job getting the hardline cooling together so neatly, I love a good custom loop just as much as the next guy.

I'm from Vietnam, thanks for the kind words too!

So.

I’ll ask, why did you buy the red version of a case to get a free cooler if you were doing a custom loop :)

Outside of that, looks great and I used Miror 1.0 as inspiration for an eventual custom loop

  • 2 points

Because the bundle was $120. It was such a good deal

Thankyou for kind words. It really makes me happy when people are inspired by my build :D

Although it deserves it, I doubt this build will get a feature because Miror 1.0 already got a feature.

This is an amazing PC, the only part I have from this list is the case, but the black version..... But dude this is a beast of a PC

Yes it is, I just want to install a custom shroud to hide the cables

Looks like a feature. May I ask why you didn’t liquid cool the VRMs?

  • 2 points

Oh I forgot to mention that. There was no clearance for it. The top radiator+fan configuration didn’t allow me to put a fitting there.

  • 2 points

Hmm. Maybe you could try a short 90 degree adapter to make it fit.

It still won’t fit, trust me

Beautiful build...+1 I just installed my LL120s last night, couldn't be happier. Also the 570x is such a great case. Only thing I would do to make it the perfect case is have a cover for the PSU shroud which it looks like you have and have a much darker back panel so no one could see the mess I made back there lol. Where did you get that map mouse pad? I've seen on a few builds and I definitely want one.

Thanks for the compliment :)

Look up “World Map Large Gaming Mouse Pad Mousepad” on Aliexpress

OR

Go on ebay, search worldmap mousepad

Mine is 90cm x 40cm

Looks as good as your first beautiful build... And you included all white pictures this time ;) (if you remember our conversation back then)

Why the change of case with all that work done to the evolv case? Looks great

I'm young and wanting to grow a channel where its mainly me building computers for myself/clients. Just to entertain, inspiring and showing people that a PC is not just a black box like one would see in Bestbuy/Target.

To shorten it out, PC aesthetic is art to me :)

Well I can agree/relate with that... I'm 100% the same way.

This is stuff I normally say!! Keep doing what you do!

Everything I want to say has been said already; well done friend. But I have to ask, as a fellow MAXIMUS X Formula owner....why did you choose to not employ the CrossChill built-in cooling channel? I haven't used it yet either, but I want to know your rationale, because everything about this build says thoughtful and meticulous, im sure you had a reason. +1

i love the tubing, i feel like some people get carried away and it can feel like the whole build is only the tubing. This build balances the tubing right, it looks great but is not in your face. Great Build!

The pc looks great and tons of pictures to show it off and hard line water cooling is really well done, But in my opinion I feel like the pump is tucked away in a weird place so maybe get a bigger case or find a new place for it.

  • 1 point

Yeah, I wanted to do a horizontal mount and that is the only place where the pumpres can fit.

If I mount if to the front radiator, the GPU will interfere with the pumpres.

The outside of the case. Sorry for the confusion.

This build looks insane man, just a question how much does water cooling typically cost with the cpu and gpu blocks and all the fittings, resivoires, and tubbing? Either way amazing build! :)

  • 1 point

Hmmm.... I'd say $700-$1200

Depends on how crazy you want to go. I have another build coming up that I'm really excited for.

hello very nice build, i am building my first PC and am also doing water loop using flexible tubing since i am complete novice. can you tell me what item that is on picture 14? i cannot see it on the parts list.

  • 1 point

Its a flow indicator, but I usually take off the wire for it just for the cleaner look.

Basically my idea was me seeing the "Ferris wheel" spinning when water pass through.

  • 1 point

oh hey man, nice to hear from you. so i guess its just for aesthetic purposes? also i see your using the ROG MAXIMUS X FORMULA mobo, but lacked space to cool the VRM because of top fans + rad. i wish to use the same mobo with same case, think i can get away with using just the fans and no rad? can you tell me what tools you used to bend and cut the glass tubes? and do you know a good guide that explains how to bend/cut and what fittings to use?

  • 1 point

I use PETG, not glass tube. And Yes I think you could get away with using the vrm block if you mount JUST the fans at top.

PETG, I just use a tool like this : https://gyazo.com/76ce751abad864ed8eb4f0df4ac497b1

For fittings, I recommend you to go with barrow fittings since they are the most cheap (On Aliexpress) Same quality as bitspower but without the popping logo

thanks man, those guides are very informative. sorry to keep bugging you like this but ive seen several builds on this site using the 570x case and not having enough space to use the vrm block, but can you figure out how this guy did it? skip to the 8.51 mark https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WC7mDOJZiio&t=400s?

Do you have issue with ASUS Aura and Corsair LL fans? like the RAM and the whole ASUS Aura lighting ecosystem will have lagging animation, like its playing in 30 fps mode?

Please reply asap!

  • 1 point

No

  • 1 point

So uh, what do you use to control the LL RGB Fans? a Commander PRO?

because right now i have a PC Build that conflicts with NZXT HUE+ & NZXT Smart Device ( that comes with NZXT H700i casing ) the whole ASUS Aura Lighting Ecosystem acting/ playing at 30 FPS Mode which is weird...

I just dont want to have issue like this anymore

  • 1 point

Sorry bud, I don’t have Facebook. For this issue, I think you should update your drivers.

Only have 1 lighting software at the same time, configure to whatever you like for one brand devices, then close/EXIT that. Open the other one.

  • 1 point

And do you have Facebook, so i can tell you the whole story about this issue between ASUS Aura and Conflicting software, i really need you on the chat bro.. this is frustating... i cant resist this issue anymore
