Description

I use my system for CAD and for playing games mostly. Having two AIO coolers in this pc makes it extremely quiet and cool. My cpu never gets above 50c at 4.1ghz and gpu never gets above 60c. Even while gaming the pc is extremely quiet. I came from an atx build and like the matx size a lot more due to just sound and size on my desk overall. I plan on adding 5050 leds with a wifi led controller, but haven't got my soldering iron out yet.

Are those the correct RAM slots to use when using 2 sticks? Most boards I've seen have Every other Slot populated rather than two side-by-side slots. Great looking build!

I know where you're coming from because I had a z77 ASRock. This new Mobo has the dual channel in groups of 2 side by side slots instead of the normal every other slot.

I just got this Mobo yesterday and it comes with a flyer stating to use every other slot , ie 2&4

I'm only using 1 so I'm not sure if you need to use every other one.

He means the slot after the next slot, not every slot

I've tried 8 combinations of how the ram should be and it will only post in this configuration. I'm not sure what's wrong with the board. If you look at the board though it does say to use like slot 1&3 or 2&4 but for some reason it wont boot in that config.

Weird. Thanks for the response! Looking into this board for my first build and to finally 100% shake off my reliance on macOS.

Nice Ryzen build! How does that NZXT GPU cooler work?

Thanks! This this thick thermaltake radiator and push pull 120mm fans I get at most 60c. It is an older AIO so I think the pump may be running slow. When it was installed on my 7950 I wouldn't get over 55c. I can only imagine what a 240 or a 360 aio would do to a gpu's temps.

Thank you my friend, you inspire me a lot for my build, I did not know or give my head. It's perfect !! I was so desperate that I almost left on an i5, as I found nothing pretty with the ryzen ...

Well, this is just the beginning :), I will surely not EVER copy you ^, I will modify things, the case is already ordered, I might make more shades of gray inside, but thanks to you I already have a good base!

I'm sorry I'm using google translation!)

THANKS

Why did you buy a super expensive 1080ti special edition if you're just going to replace the cooler with your own AIO cooler?

Hows the motherboard was thinking about buying it?

The motherboard is beautiful and has pretty decent software. It reads the ryzen system temps correctly too. The only thing I can't seem to figure out is why the xmp for the memory isn't working. I can't seem to overclock to 3k mhz, but I think it's because I haven't set the voltage correctly. It is good at overclocking the CPU though because I'm getting 4.1ghz stable at 1.45v

What speed Hz does your RAM run at.... I heard there are issues with OC.

The highest it runs with this ram is sadly 2133. You can try overclocking in the bios but it gets stuck in a loop:( it still runs well though and it's a beautiful motherboard.

Thanks. As long as you get 4.1 - that seems very good (maybe the cooling!)

Do you know if using all 4 ram slots on AM4 motherboards works? Seems like nobody is using more than two.

It is a dual channel cpu so yes I would say that it'd work. Since you can buy 16gb ddr4 there's really no real reason to use more than 2.

Hows the gpu? I heard that it gets pretty hot compared to the other ones.

Decent. It's a hell of a lot better than my 7950. The max celcius I get with the closed loop cold 580 is 60c. 65c when I have fans at 50%.

I read somewhere that there is a proper connector that the deepcool captain has to be plugged into..do you know if the motherboard you have has the right connectors?

You have to buy the am4 adapter. The motherboard is am4, but the cooler needs a special am4 bracket.

Here is a link to one. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06XDFGKYM/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s02?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Why did you get two 2Tb hard drives? Would two 1Tb hard drives not be enough?

They're for raid 1 redundancy separate from the drive with the OS.

I looked through probably 50 Meshify/Define mini builds trying to get an idea on how tight it would be to fit a 240 up front and a 120 in the back. Finally came across this one. This gives me a much better idea of the space I have to work with. Beautiful build man.

I appreciate the compliment! I have a push pull config on the GPU 120mm rad btw. Also FYI you can only have a pull configuration on the front with a 240mm rad.

Thanks for that man. I'm trying to do all of my research before I buy my components so I don't end up sending things back. You've been a big help.
