Description

Ryzen 5 2600X w/ RTX 2060. Using this PC for gaming. This is my first PC and it's been a pleasure learning how to build one and about the equipment that goes in them. If you have any questions just ask.

Part Reviews

CPU

This CPU is awesome paired with the rtx2060. one thing though is if your wanting nice cool temps you better go ahead and get a nice aio or tower cooler

CPU Cooler

Stock spire cooler that came with my 2600x got my CPU up to 95°C in under 10 minutes on prime95. Put this Arctic duo on and I could never get it over 70°C on torture test. Easy to install in case on b450 steel Legend am4 socket

Motherboard

DOA with first mobo. Took almost 2 weeks to get new mobo. New mobo works great and looks great too.

Memory

Looks great and work perfectly as advertised. does like OC very well at all

Storage

Runs cool and loads windows/games in about 5-6 seconds

Case

Great case so far. Its white ❤. Even with 3 fans in front its choked off due to the sealed glass front and psu floor was kind of bent. For the $45 I paid it's a great case

Power Supply

It's seasonic. works great. What else can I say

They are UpHere fans. Very quite, good flow and were only about $45 for a 6pk.

White table confirmed . . . I guess you picked white because it reflects the most color?

Aye nice pc and desk build. I built my desk also bc I had such a small space to fit it in and couldn't find one small enough in stores. I just sanded/stained mine but now I'm kinda thinking I should paint it white +1

Thanks! I used a 3/4×6'×2' precut piece from lowes. I was wanting to use a top cut piece of plywood but the saw at lowes was broke and I had no way to haul a 4×8 piece home.

I see, thanks. Looks like you have solid carpenter skills. I'm planning to build a computer desk too, big enough to fit 2 PC's.

Not really to be honest. It's so simple anyone can do it. I'm sure yours will look awesome

Looks amazing! I wanna do something similar to this with more RAM and a 2080 ti, but im still loving the RGB! ;3

Thanks a lot! I thought about doing something like that but just for my 1080p gaming I do it was going to be major overkill imo. If your wanting to run 1440 or 4k at all times then yes I say go for it. Hope it turns out well for you :)

do you have the measurements of your desk on hand?

The top is 6' long, 2' deep and 3/4" thick. It overhangs the frame by 2" on all sides. If you plan on drilling holes for cable management like I did you might want to make it 2 1/2 or 3 foot deep. I have more than enough room but am limited due to the cable management placement

Or you could update your kitchen cabinets first ;-)

  • 2 points

Why? We have a farmhouse themed kitchen. New cabinets would look pretty dumb. Thanks for trying though 😂

cool cool, i'm just channeling my own angst: "save for new kitchen" (don't have a cool "farmhouse" theme, just sucks) or PC ;-)

Hey thank you so so much for the kind comments and your overly ambitious concerns on my financial and future home renovation needs. You've been such a nice helpful young man. 😊

would be nice to see a pic w/o rgb on cuz it makes everything look super bright. other than that nice build, did u add a rgb strip?

  • 1 point

no rgb strip added. All the rgb u see is from the mobo, ram and case fans

How did you connects 4 fans to the ASRock MOBO as the MOBO has only 3 fan headers?

  • 1 point

  • 1 point

I have 6 argb fans and they are are ran from a hub then to the argb header. Its basically a 6 in 1 out setup
