Modded the L12S to fit. Primarily gaming system.
Hey I would be VERY careful running an rtx 2080 on a 450 w psu it’s kinda risky since I would rather get a 600/650w gold six psu just for safety otherwise great build in a great case
Hi really cool build! how did you manage to fit the L12S to the Phantom Z390? did you remove the VRM & M.2 heatsink?
Cool... But i wonder how are the temps ?
Yea... Not bad ones.
Sweet keyboard !
How difficult was bending the L12S? I'm working on a Ghost build right now. Is it touching the RAM or side panel?
The bending is very easy. The pipes are already bent into their stock position, so you're just changing the angle a bit. With the ram im using it does touch the heat spreaders, and it barely touches the side panel. I just press it down a little bit when opening or closing the case.
The Noctua website indicates that the Z390 Phantom Gaming-ITX/ac is "mechanically incompatible" with the NH-L12S. Any reason why you think that would be?
I'm asking because I'm looking at the Asus ROG STRIX Z390-I GAMING and it is also labeled "mechanically incompatible". (https://noctua.at/en/nh-l12/comp)
The heat sink that covers the vrms is too tall, so you have to remove it or cut off a piece to make it fit. Temps are still fine without it in my system.
