Description

Hi! I've been eagerly waiting for about three years to do this build. I got into PC gaming during university and decided I'd wait until after I graduated to do it as a gift to myself!

Prior to building spent several weeks watching YouTube build guides, browsing forums, and reading part reviews to ensure I was confident with what I was doing and getting an idea of which parts I wanted. I'm super happy with everything I got and how it all turned out! I went with some 'Carbon' CableMod sleeves/extensions which I think are beautiful and are a nice cherry on top if I do say so myself! I gotta say I was sooo nervous before powering it on for the first time, I was sure I must have wired something wrong, but no problems occurred (besides some Windows 10 issues)! Lately, I've been taking the time to learn about the world of overclocking to get the most out of my components.

Thanks for reading, let me know what you think!

(Master Chief for scale)

Behemoth815 submitter 1 Build 1 point 4 months ago

Haha yea, now that all my money has gone into this I have to wait and save again for games and other stuff for completing the rest of my battlestation.

Behemoth815 submitter 1 Build 1 point 4 months ago

Thanks! :) Yeah you'll be fine, the instruction manuals that came with all the parts were wayy more useful than I thought they would be, so that made things easier.

Looks great- Where did you purchase the custom cables?

Behemoth815 submitter 1 Build 1 point 4 months ago

Thanks! Well, I'm in Canada so I got them from a place called 'VL Canada' which I highly recommend if you're here. But if you're elsewhere in the world I would just check out CableMod's "Where to Buy" page! https://cablemod.com/where-to-buy/

Thanks, means a lot!

are you able to run every game out right now?

Behemoth815 submitter 1 Build 2 points 4 months ago

Yes, so far I've been able to run everything I have on ultra settings no problem at all. The most intensive game I've played so far is probably Ark: Survival Evolved which still ran like butter.

Nice first build. My first build looked no where near as nice. I literally just got done explaining to someone else (also working on their first build) why the cable extensions really tie everything together.

Behemoth815 submitter 1 Build 1 point 4 months ago

Thanks! Yea they really do. You have some beautiful custom water cooling loops in your builds btw! Looks so nice, especially the fluorescent. That'll hopefully be my next upgrade one day in the future.
