Description

This is my office work computer. I like this case alot because it's cheap, looks good and is very simple and elegant looking as you can tell with the side panel closed. Just wanted to see how much i could stuff into this little case. It's turns out, to be almost exactly what i wanted.

The cooler is Be Quiet Pure Rock with 2 Noctua NF F12 fans in push pull. The cpu heatsink is 155mm tall and it rubs on the side panel a bit. Still closes without any noticeable bulging. I wanted to get the CRYORIG H7 which is 145mm tall, but it's not available in Canada for now...will be soon thou.

If your looking to get a tower cooler for your rig, 152mm under is max. There's good cooling from the side vent too.

The Asus Strix 970 fits nicely, and it's a big card. Many people wanted to know if this Massive card would fit in small form factor case like this. To tell you the truth, i did take a gamble with the measurements. It fits great.

The bottom SSD had to relocated to the outside of the bracket. fits nicely.

Ventilation is decent , my cpu runs at around 32 C at 4.1ghz overclock and same with the GPU 33 C. Right now ambient is about 28 C* ( With normal everyday usage ).

Nice build. +1 mainly for the be quiet cooler with noctua fans. Always wondered why noctua paint some of their fans brown. Weird colour.

I'm building a computer pretty much the same, but it's a bit more pricey cause I had to factor in a monitor, keyboard, and mouse (I already have a good mouse, but a cheap keyboard I'm gonna replace.)

Sweet build, as much as I hate the colour of those noctua fans they actually look alright in this build, also the CPU cooler looks nice for an air cooled, good work

Thanks Man! Im glad you liked it. Those fans will grow on you. Originally wanted to get a CRYORIG C7 tower cooler and push pull with Noise block 120. I purchase the Be quiet cause the Cryorig is not available in Canada...bummer. It turned out ok, and liking it alot now. Super Quiet!

Why do you need a 970 in an office computer?

Just Because~

Seems like a bit of a waste is all. I wish I had money to throw around like that.

Unless that was sarcasm and you game at work...?

By the way, nice job getting that cooler to fit in the case. I'm really surprised it doesn't bulge! It may be putting a bit more stress on your motherboard than you want, if it's pressing into the case pretty hard.

This is AweSome! is not so visual but yet catches your eyes, powerful enough without making a scream and fancy without blinky lights, confirms that imagination, creativity and risk can deliver so much even when is not expected, cheers!!!! I want one! Enjoy!

Nice work with the SSD. Do you reckon if the GPU wasn't so long you could also get a second HDD in there with that arrangement?

  • 1 point

Thanks. No there's no room for a second hdd on the side. I have a 2.5/3.5 to 5.25 adapter coming. i may fit another hdd in the 5.25 bay.

If I was to switch the CPU to a 4790k and the cooler to a liquid cooler would that be alright?

I know this is quite late but I was wondering how you attached two fans to the heat sink, I'm really interested in purchasing it and would love to know how you did it? Awesome build by the way, really well done

I'm sure you could get this build close to $1050. Some of the prices posted are much lower at times...especially around X-Mas..
