This is the 2nd rebuild of a gaming PC that I build last year as my first build that I never got round to posting - Same system as here except with a Ryzen 5 1600, STRIX B350-F, and a CM MasterLiquid 240L RGB. Got the yearning for an upgrade, so here it is. May I present, [INSERT NAME HERE] V2.1.
Performs about like you'd expect a system with this parts to perform - that is to say, excellently. Everything I play on it is maxing the refresh rate of the monitor (except PUBG, but you're running the GTX 999980 TiTi or something if you're maxing that out at 1440p 100HZ).
I'd give it 10 stars if I could. I got a great overclocked, I had it up to 5.3 GhZ for benchmarking, but that was a bit on the hot side, so I turned it down to 5.0 for day to day use
Awesome. Nice and quiet, performs well, easy to mount, ML fans are near silent and move a heck of a lot of air.. Only complaint is that there's a lot of cables coming off the block.
All the motherboard you could ever need. Got mine on open-box clearance for $80 at Micro Center. Same VRMs as the much-loved E Gaming, and all the same features except front panel USB-C but almost nobody has that anyways. M.2 for another upgrade, enough USB ports, USB-C 3.1 10GBPS, ASUS's great UEFI BIOS, I/O fascia piece, what more could you want?
RAM is RAM. Doesn't work with ASUS Aura, though, and I can't even turn off the LEDs. Would not buy again.
Ahh yes the much loved 850 EVO. Plenty fast, enough space for OS, programs, and my favorite games. Got it LITERALLY A WEEK before the 860 Evo came out, though.
As above, but now with 1tb of space. I use it as a game drive. Got it for free from my grandpa's old PC. He gave it to me as payment for building the new one.
Works great as expected. WD is always reliable. Great for pictures, not that I need the space.
Works fine for overflow. Noisy and slow but no more than any other HDD out there. Great for bragging about how your PC has 4.5TB of storage.
Performs like a 1080 Ti, has a backplate, RGB. A bit loud though. Kind of wishing I got the STRIX instead.
Clean lines, nice glass, PSU shroud, cool front SSD mount. Airflow could be better, however. Probably going to replace with an Enthoo Pro M TG at some point. Radiator was hell to mount, but that's just me getting a big AIO.
850w 80+ Gold fully modular unit from a reliable brand. What more could you need?
Really loud, doesn't work with Aura Sync. I'm gonna replace it with a Corsair ML120 soon.
Actually removed it it was that loud. Don't buy these fans.
AWESOME. Super high resolution - from 8 inches away I can't see the pixels; high refresh rate AND G-Sync; decent included stand, IPS, and Ultrawide is amazing- feels almost like VR. 11/10 would reccomend
Mine came broken, but luckily I was able to return it through micro center. It's cheap for a reason.
Awesome keyboard. MX Browns are lovely, RGB is cool, and I love the palm rest and volume wheel - so convenient!!. Macros are cool too.
It's the world's best selling gaming mouse for a reason.
Works fine, G403 clone. Bit heavier than I'd like with both batteries in though.
Can't go wrong with the Cloud IIs. Cloud Alphas aren't out in something color neutral yet, so I got these. Great for music, mic's OK from my experience of listening to friends with them (I use a Blue Snowball). Nice and bassy for gaming.
Aaaaaawwwwwweeeeeesssssooooommmmme. Project sound all around my house. Having a dedicated sub is awesome. Nice & small for fitting under my desk too. Literally nothing bad to say about them.
