S-Frame chassis #49 out of 500 - I was lucky enough to pick up on an auction site for a fraction of what the retail price was. The case leant itself to a showpiece build.
This machine's main duty is a development workstation. The 1800X and NVME SSD's make booting and running VM's incredibly fast. Overclocked the RAM to 2933ghz, but couldn't get it to 3200 without BSOD's.
Cinebench R15 gets a CPU score of around 1650
Not impressed with the coil whine on the 1080Ti. Originally built with a CPU only loop, the heat coming off the 1080Ti was incredible with GPU temps 70s-80s. Putting in the EKWB waterblock dropped to to high 40's/low 50's when pushing the GPU.
I have decided the S-Frame being open case is just a little too noisey and will be replacing it with an equally impressive but quieter 909. It has been a show piece build - everyone who see's it is wowed by the size of the machine.
