So I have a few regrets here (this being my first build).
Mainly used for gaming.
The way I gathered parts was to look on here at random parts for decent prices, and then look at the reviews. Later, I refined that by researching further, but not enough.
I should not have gotten an FX-6300, I regret that, but it works so it's ok. Overclocked to 4.6Ghz. Everything else is fine.
I started with a $500 budget, and built a $700 computer in the end. This is the upgraded computer which will be very different when I get a new CPU so I might as well call it complete. I used to have a R7 260x. Wasn't good enough so I upgraded to an r9 380. It works very well (50 fps on ultra settings, very small overclock right now)
After all upgrades the cost is around $1100 if I started with this. (Upgraded GPU, bought a few case fans, got a CPU water cooler for overclocking)
I love my motherboard, it looks awesome and the features are pretty great.
Ram is ram, it works.
The Water Cooler keeps my CPU under 50° at full load while overclocked.
Storage is normal.
I can't fit any more fans anywhere but it stays very cool now :)
Things for my next build: better research. I want to get a better CPU. (Intel perhaps, but let's see what AMD will come out with) Bigger budget. Water cooling for my GPU. (It gets hotter than I like, no room for overclocking) also it looks really fun. I was thinking building it into a desk. Those builds looks amazing. As it is I can't see inside my PC (hoping to move it later).
Yes big aspirations but I just loved building this so much I want to do more.
