I am in my mid fifties and this is the first time I have attempted anything technical like this. This is replacing a low budget integrated graphics home computer. The specs had to allow for photo and video editing using RAW format files, a part time movie server, a heavy spreadsheet workhorse and some mid level games like World of Warships. I also did not want to spend silly money on stuff I would never use, hence the low spec graphics card. I kept the future state in mind so went slightly over spec on PSU, RAM and CPU cooler. I wanted to build something I could easily upgrade in the near future. I am super happy with the build so far.
Does what I need super fast and anything bigger would have been a waste for my build.
Much quieter than stock cooler and much better looking as well.
Really well specced for the price and so easy to build with
Works really well once you get the motherboard to recognise it is 3200 RAM, not 2166.
Easy to use, copied my old HDD across first time and no problems at all
well priced and works as expected
Mid level GPU but I am getting 61fps and the games I play dont seem to be challenging it.
What a great case. So much space, good cable management options and so upgradeable. My only issue is how much unused space I have. Also it only comes with one case fan, so if you are going to be a heavy user, you will need to budget for additional fans.
This replaced a faulty Coolermaster semi modular PSU and I am very happy with it so far. Is quiet and I am confident I wont be running out of power any time soon.
Wireless Network Adapter
Not the fastest for Wifi so I just use this for blue tooth.
