Ultra FullHD Gaming machine 2018

by GPina

Description

Built this machine for a friend. For 1080p gaming with max settings.

It was my firts build on a NZXT case, and I have mixed feelings. The inside and the cable management is great but the outside lacks some refinement (the screws are not very good).

I got my GTX 1060 6GB for 249€ brand new on ebay (dont ask how.. just did.. :) ), but i am still waiting for the arrival.

The mobo is ok, easy to build with and with all the feature you would want for a simple gaming PC, bnut had to clean CMOS once after CPU & RAM fail (??). Everything working ok after that episode.

The PSU is a bit overkill but i wanted upgradeability possibilities for a future stronger CPU / GPU combo..

The peripherals were my friends personnal choice.

Will post better pics when GPU, fans and RGB strip are installed.

Great build, how well do the Inwin Polaris fans perform ? Im looking at getting them for my green rgb build but are they that good of a rgb fan? Also are they silent? Thanks !

Hi, they perform OK. I think they are a bit louder than say.. noiseblocker's or noctua's but not more than other rgb fans. I'v Corsairs new LL's on my personal rig and they do not seem to bee louder. LED's are luminous, and the fans feel "premium". Oh and you can "daisy-chain" fan's together via a 8pin connector on each fan, and them to a led strip, and a 4-pin led header that works with the major mobo brands (asus, msi, asrock and gigabyte)... Performance is ok, i'v had bether and also worse. For a pure case fan I think they are pretty good, with all the premium features (nice looks, rgb, silent, rubber stands for case vibrations,..), but for a radiator use i think there are better options. The best about these fans is that they cost 1/3 of the price Corsair , nzxt or thermaltake with equivalent features cost.
