Description

PURPOSE:

I built my first computer 4 years ago which had an FX-8320e and RX-460. At the time, it was enough to play my favorite game, CSGO but after putting thousands of hours into the game I wanted to play different games such as PUBG, GTA 5, etc but my computer was struggling to even get 30 fps.

UPGRADES

Towards the end of 2018, I was able to get a Ryzen 5 2600 ($120) and ASRock B450M PRO4 ($50) for $185.04 at Microcenter. In March I upgraded my ram from a 1x8GB stick of Hyperx-2133 to 2x8GB sticks of Crucial Ballistix Sport ram for ($37.49 each) $81.64. Lastly, in April of 2019, I bought the Thermaltake H18 TG case and after a month, I finally decided to switch from my old case ( Corsair Carbide SPEC-02) to the one I just bought.

Part Reviews

CPU

The Ryzen 5 2600 is the best-valued gaming CPU in the market as of writing. This processor can run any game at 1080p 60fps and some esports titles such as CSGO can be played with s 144hz monitor if paired with the right GPU.

Motherboard

In my opinion, this is one of the best B450 Micro-ATX boards. It has great aesthetics with the black and grey colors it will look great in most builds. This board has great VRM heat sinks and two M.2 slots. This board offers a lot of features for an affordable price ( purchased for $50 at Micro center with the CPU bundle discount). The only downside is that the BIOS looks outdated.

Video Card

This card can play any game at 1080p 60fps. It will also be able to fit in all cases. The only problem is it can run hot on full load and the fan is loud.

Case

This is one of the best Micro-ATX cases you can get for $50. IT has a power supply shroud, tempered glass, and really good cable management ( 1 inch of space). Some cons with this case is that the motherboard screws are impossible to hand tighten. The case has sharp edges, the dust filter for the power supply is not magnetic but the fan filter at the top is? This case only includes 1 case fan. If you decide to install your front intake fans inside the case there can be some compatibility issues if the fan is 140mm. The SSD will block the screws for the 140mm fan.

It has its charm... Looking simple but still packing a good punch. I really like it, to be honest. May it serve you well.
