Continuation of old build. Looking to eventually update my Gigabyte 2080 to a founders edition 2080, or super card. Last build had a faulty 8700K that would randomly bluescreen despite liquid cooling and clock speeds. This is much cleaner.

Hoping to also try better keyboards. Currently have tried the Logitech G410, G513 Carbon, Craft, Corsair K95 Platinum, and Razer Black Widow Lite. Logitech G Pro keyboard is in the mail and soon to be tested. If it doesn't work out, I'm going for a Ducky keyboard or something with double shot PBT caps.

Feel free to leave suggestions, recommendations and whatever else in the comments.

Part Reviews

5Ghz all cores. No issues. Everything runs smoother, with better lows than my old 8700K.

CPU Cooler

Lighting isn't that great, and cooling could be better. I'd look into Corsair.

Better than ASRock, with great heat syncs and power delivery.

May cause bluescreens if clocked at 3000MHz

Video Card

Does its job, I'd recommend founders edition for best performance and consistency though.

Simple and minimal.

Ahead of its time. Love the design, build quality, and smoothness.

Rolls Royce of gaming keyboards. Lights don't get that bright, and macro keys get in the way.

Low weight means better performance, but when visitors pick it up they think it's cheap plastic junk. :(

Looks really clean! Any issues with the monitor?

Not really. I'm trying to sell it, and buy the Alienware AW2518H, a 1080p 240Hz TN panel instead. The 4ms response time and 120hz limit on the ultrawide aren't worth it to me anymore.

Why isn't your build with a 7980XE as your name specifies?

Separate incomplete build. Waiting on specialized liquid cooling components.
