Description

This turned out to be a great build for me, originally it was going to be an AMD FX 8320 and a GTX 970, I ended up upgrading my CPU, my cooler, a better SSD, and better case. The only problem I had was that the motherboard ended up having only one RAM slot working(going to contact support soon), so I just traded in 2x4gb of RAM and got a single stick of 8. Runs all of my games very smoothly with 60+ fps. Now I can be the coolest kid in school with the fastest pc :D.

Part Reviews

CPU

I don't think this has anything to do with the CPU, but I have a terrible problem when I try to record minecraft with fraps and bandicam, my FPS gets capped at 24 no matter what settings I put fraps and minecraft to. Even if I get 1000+ fps before recording, it still caps at 24. I've tried recording to an external HDD, but it didn't work. How can I fix this?

CPU Cooler

loud, but i mean its a liquid cooler

Motherboard

One RAM slot came not working, other than that, pretty good motherboard

I don't want to come off rude but you know that your motherboard does not OC yet you have an unlocked processor. If you do then would you care to explain the choice of getting this motherboard and CPU?

Also, I know the feeling about being the kid with the fastest PC gtx 970 all the way

How in the world did you overclock your processor without a z97/z87 motherboard?

When the g3258 came out mobo manufacturers enabled OC on H81,B85,and H97 chipsets,so people don't have to buy a 100+$ z97 board to overclock a 65$ CPU.

yeah, I know about those however he is 'overclocking' an i5 not the beefed up/unlocked Pentium.

It's not in the same price category as the other components, but it gets the job done.

Not a good mobo, but seems good if you do not want to overclock.

there was definitely a change of sound from using a stock cooler to the h100i, i connected the two radiator fans to the motherboard, so they aren't so loud and dont run at 100% all the time. if you dont put them on the motherboard, and you put them on a molex or something, it is extremely loud and annoying
