Description

Excellent build. The building went well, but I ran into some problems with the CPU cooler, it was almost too small to fit in the case, but it fitted in at the side. The Intel mounting bracket for it was extremely hard to remove. The IO Shield also did not fit into the case, and I had to use a hammer to make it fit. The RGB looks great and it's very quiet. I haven't tried it with too many games yet, but have ran a few performance tests and it performs very good. The fans are a bit weak, but they are super quiet. The upgrade is great, and it can run games like CS:GO at around 200fps. The extra 16gbs of ram is only for video editing, and same with the CPU cooler. If I was going for a build just for gaming I would have gone without. Great build, but very expensive.

Part Reviews

CPU

Performs great under load with the CPU cooler I used. On the hotter side of idle temperatures but very cool under max load. Brilliant CPU, I'd recommend it to anyone who wants to do some basic video editing, etc.

CPU Cooler

Keeps my CPU super cool, only complaint is the struggle it took to get the Intel mounting bracket off. I had to bash it (lightly) with a hammer and only then would it budge enough to move. In the end I loosened the screws to get it off, but it was much harder than it should have been. Still a great CPU Cooler.

Motherboard

RGB Looks really nice and was easy to install. IO Shield was too big for my case, but was nothing a bit of hammering couldn't solve.

Memory

Looks super nice in the case, and very nice speeds.

Storage

Runs fast and heaps of storage

Video Card

Amazing GPU, even though it's not a 1080ti it still runs great. If you can't afford a ti GET THIS! Only complaint is that it runs a bit hot under max load, but i'm going to direct more of my fans onto it and that should solve the problem.

Case

Beautiful case. The tempered glass looks amazing, but it's a bit small for the CPU cooler's radiator. Had to cable tie the pipes to fit the GPU in.

Case Fan

Good fan, silent and pushes a decent amount of air.

Monitor

Amazing! Only downside is that it's stupidly expensive. The IPS Panel looks great and all of the colors look right. Refresh rate is amazing and is super smooth. Would recommend this monitor to anyone who has the money.

Keyboard

Good keyboard, very comfortable and the keys make a clicking noise that sounds nice and isn't too loud. Would recommend.

Mouse

Good mouse, smooth and easy to use.

Talk about an upgrade. Very nicely specced system.

Is the 1080 in the 2nd reinforced slot on that motherboard? If so, you have to move it to the top reinforced long PCI-E x16 slot, because the bottom one is only x8.

If AIO tubing is getting in the way, you can actually flip the radiator 180 degrees so the tubes going into the radiator are at the top, so you could then install the GPU in the first slot. Play around with the positioning a little, cause I hate to see the 1080 not being fully utilized.

I recently moved the 1080 into the top slot, flipping the radiator so the pipes go to the top would be good, but I think the RAM's in the way, I'll give it a shot though, thanks for the reply!

If anyone knows how to get the case RGB working please tell!
