So this PC was purchased over the span of several months having used subreddits and monitoring of sites for deals. The video card, HDD, and windows keys were of no cost to me and I will likely upgrade the video card soon (waiting to see if volta drops pascal prices). Right now my gaming demands arent overwhelming to the system. At 1080p medium/high I'm gettting 80-90 fps on overwatch. Most of my other titles; skyrim, mirrors edge, witcher 2; run at high with no drops below 60.
Current upgrade plans -better PSU -Better VGA (1050 ti/1060 most likely) -more case fans (only have two 120 mm and the cpu fan, but its working fine as is) -Better non-square monitor (although mine was free)
This thing is fast, and runs pretty cool under the CR-H7. No overclocking yet for me, but I plan on it in the future when it starts showing its age (far from it now).
No ram interference, quiet, easy to install and keeps my cpu well under concerning temps. Ive had the hyper 212 evo and this is insanely better to me personally.
Easy to use, support for a great range of CPU overclocking and dram overclocking options. BIO's was easy to update. Will give it 5 stars if I can figure out why it has to POST every time it boots before loading the OS. This kills my boot time by adding about 4-8 secs which is just about half the total boot time. As long as this is normal im really not gonna complain too much though
My board came with their "whetstone" mousepad and I gotta say I didnt believe they were necessary till now. This coupled with a good mouse makes a huge difference to friction/resistance.
Its red, fast and didnt crash upon loading XMP profiles
I know this isnt a 960 pro, but it was also much cheaper than that option. Realistically I wont ever see a bottleneck in the performance of this drive over a 960 m.2 nvme. Still faster than an sata drive at that. Plus 5 year warranty sounded nice.
1 tb drive fits my games nicely
This thing is OLD, but that being said it got a fresh thermal paste application and cleaning from me. Got it working 70-80 C under load with no hiccups in ESport gaming and older titles. Just dont expect it to run witcher 3 with hairworks on.
This case is beautiful. Extra magnetic rgb strip with a built in case controller for it as well as three pwm fans is a great touch. the glass is stunning and the PSU shroud is built well to cover a nest of cables beneath it. My only issue is that it could have used a grommet on the psu shroud to feed a vga psu cable.
I had gotten the silent edition, but opted to place the mesh dust filters over the solid sound proof-lined panels as I found heat trapping to be an issue with them. I you use a front 240-280mm AIO liquid option then leaving the panels on is not a big deal. The mesh covers are still magnetic and keep light spill down so that the ceiling in your room doesnt look like a rave
No coil whine, no noise, and its from a reputable vendor. This thing isnt pretty, but cable extensions could fix that just as well. I plan on upgrading to a better rated supply when I get to overclocking, but for now this baby does everything I need it to do.
Got this on an insane deal microcenter had given out! GPU will never hit the frame cap but man its buttery smooth
Cheap mouse, but I didnt pay much for it. Works great for FPS even though its a Moba marketed device. Two extra mouse buttons on the left of the mouse make for easy overwatch bindings of abilities and there is a DPI switch below the mouse wheel.
Note: No RGB only blue LED with breathing options or static options for side and logo.
