Description

Not much to really describe here, i wanted to build an ultimate rig that i won't have to upgrade for awhile. One that can handle any game in 4k while streaming/recording. And at the same time a pc that can be used for web application development and compiling code.

For anyone looking to use the Thermaltake w100 or any case from Thermaltake that requires assembly, do yourself a favor and buy a whole new screw pack not made in china and re tap all the holes on each steel panel.
Had to re tap all my panels when the first screw i used to fasten the first 2 pieces stripped cause of improper engineering.

My only other issue was trying to figure out where to plug in the enermax cooler pump connector, seeing as how on the zenith extreme the w_pump connector is out of reach for the cable. Using google i found i could plug it into the cpu fan pin connector and connect the cpu fan cable for the cooler fans on the cpu_opt connector next to it. Otherwise your brand new threadripper will start off with temps exceeding 51c and higher. Now my rig sits at a cpu temp of 36-37c on idle and with work. When stressed with work and compiling it reaches 41c- 47c depending is i am compiling code or video content creation.

For gaming the machine hovers around 36-41c in 4k 60fps.

There is no way this build doesn't look like a beast. I'm kind of sad though because I can't even afford a 500$ SETUP. With the monitor and everything. Jesus Christ.

How well does those dual fury cards play

Really depends on the engine used by the game you're playing. I find with most AAA titles the crossfire ability of the cards works wonderful. I've run 12 hour sessions of GTAV and Witcher 3 in 4k ultra at 60fps without any issues.

Why is one graphics card more expensive than the other? I did a quick glance and they appear to be the same card.

One card I bought at release the first day the fury x launched, the second card a year later.

Hey man, I'm building a new Threadripper build in this case too. Just wanted to know for the fans on your right side of the case, are those intake or exhaust?

I can't decide what will be better.

I have a front intake rad and top exhaust rad.
