Description

Everything went well with my first build.

I did a lot of research on fitting the Kraken x62 in it. But there is no actual build (as far as i know) that shows the front rad bracket flipped. So here you go.

Also, after flipping the front bracket, there is still a space to fit a 3.5" HDD.

Last picture shows the final build. I used my son's number 5 to protect the gpu from sagging.

Nice work for a first build, however is there any reason why the front fans aren't set to intake? I would strongly recommend that you reverse them to give the components inside some air- especially that 1080ti.

i think you are right. i will try to reverse it and see if i will get any cooling performance.

I suggest this as well as i ran into a similar problem with my build. Went from 84 under full load to 65 Celsius.

crazy... i did tried reversing the rad fans. stressed test, but no significant change.... playing from 65-70C like before. but i will keep it this way because its really hard to disassemble everything lol

You have only 1 exhaust and 4 intakes. For a front to back airflow pattern, even out the exhaust fans and intake fans. Flip the top left (not rear) intake to exhaust and remove the top right intake.

Looking back at my build a year ago, I regret not getting the EVGA 1070 Ti. My ASUS ROG STRIX is bending and the RGB just flashes red. In addition, the Kraken X52's RGB does not work either (because I plugged it into AIO pump instead of USB socket when I built it).

Good job on your build!

thank you. had a lot of prior research before reaching to where am i now. scariest part is when i tried to use my fluke to check for PSU output. no voltage was detected but when i turned it on, it boots. up till this day i dont know what happened. lol.

Not trying to judge but in my opinion the 1080ti's are not worth it most of the ones i've seen are as much or more then some of the 2080ti's. Just seems overpriced...

I'm curious why you didn't buy and RTX card.

gtx 1080 ti is still very powerful

but the RTX cards are just as powerful and can ray trace as well as produce the same amount of frames when under less load.

I know but its chill man. Gtx 1080 ti still sits roughly the same as rtx 2080 so its calm. And they would both be under full load if thats the case. Also gtx 1080 ti is cheaper know than rtx 2080

Nice work. Good job.

I have to imagine that you did not pay $1226 for this card.

FWIW - those looking for a 2080ti - I have seen the EVGA Black 2080ti going for $999 new on its website.

80+ gold is a bit of an overkill and your gonna run out of storage really quickly also 1080 ti isn’t good for price/performance

Overkill? Gold is just barely above average lol.

I have a bronze semi modular and i have no issues whit it i just think as long as the brand of your psu is recognizable and it has enough wat you dont need a better one
