Description

I'm 14, and this was my first PC build, and really first time gaming on a PC too. I use this mainly for gaming and for school work when I do have to go back to school.

So far, I have 9 games downloaded on here, and they are: Overwatch, Fallout 4, Fallout: New Vegas, Skyrim, CS:GO, Minecraft, L4D2, and BF3. And, so far, all of these games have run BEAUTIFULLY!! Really, I did not expect this budget build to run Fallout 4 at 60fps on ultra! It's great, although when I wander into Diamond City the fps does go below 50, but that's okay, I can deal with it. Overwatch and CS:GO run very well, CS:GO gets something around 290fps on ultra settings, but so can my MacBook :/ . Skyrim looks great too, better than my Xbox 360's graphics. Minecraft runs fine, and BF3 and L4D2 are pretty good too. So far, every game I've played on here runs phenomenally. No complaints performance wise.

Speaking of performance, the boot-up times are great too! It takes about 4-5 seconds for the machine to power on and get me to the login page. Cooling has not been a problem, I only ave one fan at the back of the case, the one that came with the case, and the stock cooler for the cpu. The motherboard only came with one extra fan slot soo... :(.

The case itself is very nice. It looks sleek and very sexy ;). The side window is very clear and it goes along really well with the rest of the case. The cable management was ehh, but maybe that's just me. Either way, the case looks amazing, and I would buy this case again.

That's pretty much it! Please leave some feedback, comments and critiques of any kind are welcome!

Part Reviews

CPU

Great budget CPU! Have had no problems so far, and the 3.7 GHz is really great, especially for the price! Definitely go for this if you're planning on doing a budget build...

Motherboard

This motherboard freaked me out at some points. RAM was very hard to get into the slots, and it felt like I was going to break it at some points during the build, and the BIOS are not very helpful and kind of confusing. But other than that, it gets the job done, and I haven't had any other problems with it.

Memory

Reliable RAM that is affordable and it looks amazing!

Video Card

I got this used on eBay for $150, but it looks like the guy never touched it! It looks incredible too! And it plays AAA games like a beast! Fallout 4 gets 60fps on Ultra, and the other games in my description look great too! Awesome video card, seriously.

Case

The only reason that this is not 5 stars is because the video card was very hard to install. You had to wedge the metal end of the GPU into this thin metal slot, on the back of the case, where then you install the screws. It was very hard to get the GPU in there, but once it got in, it worked just fine. Gave me a minor panic attack!!

Power Supply

Reliable PSU, but it came with some wires that I didn't need for my build. And you can't remove those wires, so I'm kinda stuck with two huge power cables just hangin' around at the bottom of my case. But other than that, it does its job very well! Always gonna buy EVGA PSUs from now on!

Operating System

It's Windows, nothin' new really...

Wireless Network Adapter

Great network adapter! I think it boosted my signal, actually. It gets better internet than my laptop and phone, lol.

Your Macbook probably didn't cost you under $600 though did it? This is upgradable and much better than a Mac running you 1k plus. Sooo :P

This is a great budget build you have. Well done! It should please your gaming desires for quite sometime.

Anyway for you to tuck those wires more to the side and in the hard drive cage? You could use the optical bays too as well if need be for some tidy cable management. No rush and does not have to be perfect either. Name wise, I'm not sure how to call these things... I try to name a computer by its purpose or personal preference that relates to the person's personality or habits.

You certainly "sucker punch" those consoles with this build. Enjoy your new PC and plus one!

Thank you! And yeah, the cable management definitely needs some work, the graphics card is so dang big though haha, but I'll find a way, and update this post later. Thanks :P

This really reminds me of my first build in high school, including the **** cable management (no offense). You'll advance and probably one day get to my builds if you stick with it. Enjoy!

The motherboard only came with one extra fan slot soo... :(

Use a 3/4 pin to molex adaptor for that "extra" fan :)
