After using my old computer for around 9 years, I am finally building a new one. Microsoft dropping support for Windows 7, and not being able to even start multiple games due to my aged hardware were the last two things that helped me decide to get a new PC. This PC is designed to be a great all-rounder. I wanted powerful multithreaded performance, 1440p gaming, and enough RAM for anything I decide to throw at it. I also wanted a white and black themed build with plenty of upgrade-ability. After months of planning, this is the parts list I settled with.
PUBG, CS:GO, Rocket League, and of course Minecraft all run buttery smooth at 1440p. While playing demanding games, my system still stays very quiet. I was blown away by how fast Windows booted up for the first time.
Not much to say, it's just another SSD. It boots Windows 10 in around 5 seconds and games load up in the blink of an eye.
I've only been using this for a few days, but I haven't experienced any troubles like others have been having. The white cooler matches my build perfectly. The fans only kick on when the card is under load, which makes my system nice and quiet. My only gripe is that the RGB is not very accurate. White looks a lot more like cyan. I had to fiddle around with RGB Fusion for a while until I got my ideal color. On top of this, RGB Fusion is pretty lackluster. It's not nearly as customizable as Asus Aura or Corsair IQue is.
This case looks awesome. In fact, with a system in it, it looks like a work of art. It has a very modern look, and great airflow. It's a bit narrow, so you'll probably want to look for a different case if you're going to have a custom water loop. My only complaint is that it doesn't come with any SSD mounts. This fine, as I am only using two drives, but it was a tad disappointing. The Meshify C is still a 5 star case overall, especially for the price.
Meh, it's Windows 10, a VERY mediocre version of Windows. I wish Microsoft had never decided to turn this into a half mobile, half desktop experience. What was wrong with the way programs worked for the past two and a half decades? I could go on and on about what I hate about this OS, but you could hear that from literally anyone else. As you can see in my screenshots, I customized it to look like Windows XP, and I quite like it. Windows 7 will always be superior in my eyes.
Amazing looking screen with great viewing angles. I had some trouble at first (it only went up to 60Hz). However, I plugged the HDMI cable into the HDMI 2 port (this is very important), and I achived 1440p at 144Hz. It doesn't come with VSync, but at this price point it doesn't really matter. Most games nowadays have V Sync built into them anyway.
This is a great mouse. I prefer heftier mice, and this is just that. You can control this mouse to your heart's content through Corsair's IQue software. I hear the wireless features are top notch, however I use this mouse wired. The cable is braided and premium. The RGB is very bright and stands out. However, the rubberized coating on the palm rest doesn't seem very durable. I've had this mouse for a few months, and there is already a small (about the size of a crumb) area where the coating has come off and the RGB is showing. Overall, this is a great mouse, however the build quality leaves a bit to be desired.
Great mouse pad. The graphic on it is an added bonus. I can see this thing lasting for a long time.
Good starter mic stand. I would not trust this thing with a very expensive microphone though, as the clamp is VERY weak and will easily come off of your table with normal use. Can't beat it for the price though.
