Video of Build and Benchmark Tests:
I'm a College student who constantly uses photo and video editing softwares, including playing and recording videogames. My current laptop setup is weak compared to powerful desktops, therefore I required an upgrade from my Lenovo Z510 laptop.
My main concern was the overall price of the build (including shipping and tax), so I carefully chose my components based on my needs.
I ran into a very frustrating problem while building this PC where it turned on and off in a 5-second loop.
Check out the full description of my problem here: http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-3232606/build-problem-loops-system-turning.html
tl;dr, The 4-pin speakers I purchased for my Motherboard helped out a lot by sending out beep codes, which identified the problem; the RAM stick was just loosely inserted. Additionally, the RAM stick had to be installed into the slot closest to the Processor.
Overall, I am absolutely satisfied with my new Desktop PC and I look forward to using it for the next several years! It looks very cozy along with the PS4 placed right above it. Productivity levels increased by a tenfold! Woohoo!
Great CPU package which includes its own Intel CPU cooling fan. Instruction manuals are also included, which is clear and provided visual instructional graphics (for newbies like me).
Wish it was more clear with what updates it needed, as other updates interfered/disabled my HDMI audio capabilities (could be a compatibility issue).
Excellent fan that gives you many different mounting options! This package also includes thermal paste for your CPU cooling needs.
Be very careful when pressing your fingers against this cooler. I've experienced several cuts to my hands.
Sturdy build quality. The package DOES NOT include the full manual and requires the user to look it up on Gigabyte's support webpage, http://resources.e-itx.com/gigabyte/mb_manual_ga-h110n_e.pdf
I experienced this interesting technical issue where it would freeze my PC whenever I connect an ethernet cable to it. The problem was fixed by switching between a different set of ethernet cables.
Overall, great motherboard that supplies your average needs.
Great Memory stick! Very sturdy and can handle a punch!
Very quiet, reliable, and easy to install! Provides a large amount of storage space for your average user needs.
Simple installation requiring only a quick insertion into the Motherboard's GPU slot. Users don't need a separate PCI-e cable from your PSU to provide power to this great Video Card.
Great form factor! Absolutely sturdy and easy to work around with.
I love the fact that the side and top panels are interchangeable (which makes sense for a cube-shaped case).
One downside is that the provided front fan is a bit slow for my liking (but still remains silent).
Good PSU, however the 3-pin power socket is LOOSE and would turn off the PC when given a slight nudge.
Managed to fix the problem by using duct tape and wrapping it around the provided power plug to thicken its body. Inserted the plug into the 3-pin socket, which finally secured it in place. Slight nudges no longer turn off the PSU!
Great OS for the average user.
Surprisingly found out that it is able to connect with your other Windows 10 OS devices, where it would sync your settings with your other devices (such as Desktop Wallpapers and clocks settings).
Great wireless keyboard! Would totally recommend installing the recommended driver called "Logitech Options" at http://support.logitech.com/en_us/software/options
The software will allow you to assign and edit keys to your liking. It also provides you up-to-date battery information of your device.
Great wireless/wired mouse! The provided USB cable allows you to charge the device when it's running low on battery (which I absolutely love).
*EDIT: The scroll wheel button does not act as your middle mouse button. Rather, the gesture button below it can be configured as the middle mouse button. You can click on the scroll wheel to switch between "Hyperfast" and "Click-to-Click" scrolling.
