Description

I mostly use the machine for content creation, as I am a movie editor. I do game on it as well, and bought the 980 this summer brand new off of Amazon for just 270$ or so, amidst the cryptomining craze, it's fine for ultra settings 1080P. Overall the build went pretty smoothly, although it has to be said, the Corsair 460X is a pain the rear to work in, but once you cable manage everything properly I think the payback is worth the effort. I couldn't link the 8Pin VGA extensions as they were custom made. I've OC'd the CPU to 3.8 Ghz at 1.375 volts and it's rock-solid stable. The GPU was able to hit 1.6Ghz as this 980 has an excellent power delivery but I use it at stock as I never really utilise it all that much. I also usually just set the Hue+ to white and breathing effect, but since I wanted the pictures to look a little cooler, I set it to the color cycle kind of mode, don't really use it like that very much. And for anyone asking why I am using an RGB PSU under a shroud, it was the best PSU I could get for that price regardless of the LED fan.

They are in the part list, the NZXT Hue+ comes with 4 and those are the ones in there.

I mean, the NZXT hue is classified as a case accessory, but i cannot find that category. that is why i favorited the part

You add it as a custom part and post a link to it from Amazon for example

The size of the card never is massive huh?

Yes, on my previous Intel build in the S340 the 8Pin cable was actually rubbing against the side-panel because of the card's height, which resulted in scratches on the window...

Have you had any trouble with the gskill ram, as im going with a ryzen build myself with this ram and ive heard that trying to control the ram lighting can corrupt the spd and cause lighting and or memory failure.

I had no problem, sometimes the software is glitchy but once I restart the PC it works fine.

I can't see the psu in any of the pictures, why would you get an rgb psu if you can't really see the rgb aspect of it? This has always confused me with some rgb builds.

Cause I thought it was cool for a week or so, but then I decided that it looks somewhat better with the shroud, however it was cheaper than similar PSUs like Corsair's CX750M, which makes it a better deal regardless.

Sadly, I won't be able to... I got uni early in the morning. But it's gonna be a heck of a PPV, considering it's still considered as a "B-show", will definitely watch it tomorrow evening. Wbu tho?

Yup, and ROH. No Mercy was pretty horrendous, to be honest. Especially what happened with Neville...
