Description

This one has quite the back story. My Destiny clan mates pulled together and sent me a PC so I could enjoy the magnificence of 60fps. Long story short, that system had some stability issues. I was able to part out the RAM and video card and put that toward basically a new system besides the power supply and SSD.

I game on my 55” TV, and this thing rips through Destiny 2 maxed out at 1440p at 60fps. I’m also able to relax and surf the web and do a little graphics editing with no issues. The H200 is a little tight at the top of the case next to the motherboard, but everything fit well, and I was able to keep it relatively clean.

It had been a long time since I built a system from parts. I’m really happy with how this one turned out.

Why do NZXT builds always look so damn good.

I agree. Once I saw that case, I was hooked. All of their stuff looks super clean.

Yeah they really do look clean, I might use it for my dream build, waiting for the money though..

Those fans are amazing

Thanks! I had 2 from the previous system and swapped in 2 more since the included NZXT fans were DC. That made a world of difference in the noise level, since they weren't running full speed all the time off of my fan hub. Plus they look sweet and sync great with Aura from the motherboard.

Looks so clean! The RGB is neat too. You may already know this but if you don't, you can use the Sapphire TriXX Software to change the colour of the logo on the GPU.

I did not know that! Thanks for the tip.

Turns out it is only the Nitro cards. I dig the red though.

Right now i have this laptop that can run Destiny 2 at 49 fps average, but it stutters like a shy kid in grade 4 when i play crucible. If theres any hope for a good entry build pc, this may be it chief!

I've been really impressed with the RX 5700 so far. I think the CPU is more of the performance bottleneck looking at the benchmarks, but since I'm capped at 60hz on my TV, 1440p @ 60fps is beautiful. I had some issues with HDR, so I just turned it off. I think it actually looks better without it. The 5700 runs D2 like butter maxed out, and there is still some room to overclock the card if need arises. Very happy so far.

What nice clan mates :) I myself am looking at upgrading my build and was considering an NZXT case + 5700(xt) or 2060 s. Any issues at all with thermals or the ram?

  • 1 point

Not so far. Everything seems stable. The RAM fit was tight due to the AMD cooler, but no issues other than that.

Yo what kind of monitor do you use or recommend for the 5700? Btw the build is dope af.

I'm using it as a glorified console. I have a 55" TCL 55R615 4K TV in the bedroom that I use for movies and gaming. I can't make use of anything above 60hz, but 1440p @ 60fps looks amazing coming from the Xbox.

Looks great! I have the same case and was wondering if those were custom cables? Would you happen to know the lengths you ordered? I have an ATX power supply in mine and it's cramped. Looking to free up some space under the shroud.

Thanks!

UpHere cable exensions on Amazon. $30 for the 30cm versions, and they came with combs. I'll update the parts list to include.

Man, congrats for the amazing build and result ! Can you give a feedback about the RX 5700 drivers ? Is it stable enough now ? I have read on reddit that drivers are quite faulty (many crashes ...).

  • 1 point

Thanks! I updated to the version right before this lastest release and noticed some stuttering. But I was also running MSI Afterburner and Sapphire Trixx. I rolled back the driver and removed the extra software and haven't had any issues with D2 or BL3. I will probably upgrade to the latest release once it bakes in a bit and folks are happy with it. For right now, everything is smooth and stable.

Great looking build! So clean.

How is the GPU fit?

I'm looking at a 5700 for my H210 as well, but NZXT say max thickness 44mm and many of them are over.

Thanks!

The Pulse is very close to the psu shroud but there is still adequate clearance. So far no issues with thermals.

I have the same GPU but might doesn't light up red like yours does, did you download something to make it light up red or did you plug it in and it lit up on its own??

It has always been red. I did not connect anything other than the power cables.

Hello, Im going to use the new 5600xt pulse in a h200i case. How is your gpu thermals? Fan level/noise? I know it will be a tight fit, so it would be great to know what to expect! Thank you in advance, Mattias/Sweden

Thermals are fine. The fan can be a little noisy, but not too over the top. The case was very easy to work in, so you shouldn't have too many issues. Good luck!
