Description

Couldn't think of a great name so yeah.

I'm using this build for Brutal Wolfenstein atm. I'm planning to add an RX 570/580 and play some more demanding games later.

But I'm waiting for christmas or next payday to buy the GPU. I'm really impressed by the temps as I only have 1 fan (Exhaust)

The Phanteks P300 is amazing. I really love all the features it has. The RGB is amazing and cable managment was super easy.

I really regret buying the Asus PRIME B350 motherboard. I has like 2 fan headers and that isn't really enough. But I read something about fan splitters. I'm planning to buy those sometime when I'm adding more fans.

This PC is way better than my current laptop and I really like it. When I add an GPU it's going to smash everything I throw at it.

This is my first build and a friend of mine wants me to build a pc for him. So that's really nice. It's fricking amazing to build a pc. It's fun and you learn a lot.

Laptop vs this PC

I5-6300HQ < 2200G = Comparison

GTX 950M > VEGA 8 = Comparison

1 x 8GB < 2 x 4GB

1TB HDD < 240GB SSD

My laptop has a better GPU atm. But it's really slow because it doesn't have an SSD and dual channel.

The build cost me around 405€ which is 458$. I live in Denmark and prices are bad. But still 1000kr lower than a custom built with same specs.

Part Reviews

CPU

Really love this APU it's great. The cooler is amazing.

Motherboard

Wouldn't recommend because of only two fan headers

Storage

Super fast! Everything loads super quickly!

Case

Good for cable managment. Super good budget case. It has RGB but only one fan.

Another laptop vs build point: the laptop will almost certainly thermal throttle way before this build does.

Unless you get a really hot GPU you should be OK with two more case fans and you can easily run two off one header with a splitter. A splitter cable is a few bucks and might even be included with some fans.

Good budget build.

The OP is adding a GPU later. For the moment he is using the 2200g onboard Vega 8 graphics (an APU)
