Well this was my first PC build EVER! It definitely had its ups and downs as I went for a custom water loop and chose this specific case to do it in. I ultimately decided to go with flexible tubing because I didn't want to have added stress of making nice bends. I drew inspiration with the double radiators from another post on this site his username is nmt12. I will have all of the water cooling components listed below. P.S. THE WIFE WAS NOT HAPPY WITH HOW MUCH THIS THING COSTS! I AM ALSO NOT HAPPY BECAUSE OF AN ANNOYING ISSUE I HAVE BEEN GETTING WHILE PLAYING GAMES.
I decided not to upgrade my GPU from a 1070 to a 1080 or 1080ti because I had this GPU from my old rig. On top of that I have a 144hz 1080p monitor. So I didn't really want to upgrade because I do not have a 4k monitor. Plus it is a little overkill for games like Fortnite or Darwin Project.
I have no even began to try and reach max overclocking on this rig because of the dgxi error removed/hung issue. Which I have done everything in attempt to resolve. I'm currently reconfiguring the Waterloop and throwing in a small form factor 1060 to see if it is a hardware problem.
Regardless of the annoying issue I am glad on how it turned out. It defintely took some long days as the initial motherboard I had ordered (ASUS ROG STRIX Z370) would not POST. Then the CPU waterblock backplate from EKWB wasn't even THREADED. So I had to wait on a new backplate. I did not have the tools to thread it myself. I also realized after placing everything in that the 24-pin ATX stock connector that came with the SF600 was too short and would not reach the MB. So I had to buy an extender. I also had to buy the Corsair Commander Pro to have my Corsair ML 120mm fans hooked up and be able to control fan speed/rgb. The cable management was not too bad in this case you just have to really strap down all the cables pretty tight with the built in velcro straps to allow the sides to slide down properly.
***I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THAT IF YOU ARE PLANNING ON DOING A SIMILAR BUILD OR USING A DIFFERENT ITX CASE TO PLACE THE COMPRESSION FITTINGS ON RADS AND BLOCKS PRIOR TO INSTALLING, IT SIMPLY MAKES IT MUCH EASIER. ALSO ESTIMATE TUBE LENGTHS AND GET ONE END ON ONE OF THE COMPRESSION FITTINGS. TRUST ME IT HELPS RELIEVE THE STRESS OF HAVING TO CRAMP YOUR HANDS AND NOT HAVE ENOUGH ROOM TO REALLY GET A TIGHT FIT ON THE FITTINGS.
