Put this system together a few years ago for gaming and as an entertainment system. It worked great with a Hyper 212 for a bit but I got the Corsair H105 to keep the CPU cool. Expanded the storage slowly but am very pleased with how it has ended up.

Upgraded from windows 8 to windows 10 when they offered the free upgrade.

I did change the Chassis from a Corsair Carbide 400R to the Cooler Master MasterCase MC500P and have been very pleased.

Part Reviews

Outstanding chip. This one will run up to 5.0 but I keep it at 4.8 for longevity. Does everything I need and was the best chip for the socket at the time.

CPU Cooler

Great cooler. No issues so far. Installation was easy and has kept the CPU cool without any issues.

Thermal Compound

It does what it needs to do for a great price!

Stable board with a good feature set.

Solid Ram. Nothing surprising here.

main boot drive. Holds a bunch of games and other files as well!

Most recently added to the system as a game drive. Works very well!

Was the original system storage but upgraded to SSD's for faster load. Still a great primary storage for video and other files.

Video Card

Has been a great GPU. Happy with the overclocking performance. Only issue is that it is a blower style cooler. Really stable and good performance even years later.

Outstanding case. I love this thing. Seriously. So good. Ample room and good space for cable management. Has a great spot for radiators and all of the filters to keep the dust out!

Optical Drive

Very pleased with this.

Case Fan

Great fans and I got them on sale for a solid price.

Very pleased with how well this has worked for me. No issues and continues to work for what I need.

Decent sound quality. Mic picks up some of the background noise but I am ok with that as it doesn't impact what I use it for.

Those older processors are great for overclocking.

I am sure it could push higher but I haven't taken the time or learned the skills to really push it.

Do you like that cooler? Was debating on trying it out. Master Case is nice.

Sorry for the long time to reply! Yes, I love the H105. It has been a great addition to the kit and fits great in the case. the Master Case is my favorite computer case to build in of the four I have done. Just so feature rich! The h105 is my first jump into water cooled anything and has sold me on it.
