Description

I was aiming to build a PC that could run 1080p gaming, streaming, editing and also have room to upgrade in the future to 4k and also more storage but for right now this build is perfect for my needs.

I chose the AMD Ryzen 7 2700x because of its processing power so that I could edit, stream, game or work without having any issues handling the load, so far this thing is a BEAST!

I went with a newer motherboard in the AMD x470 chipset so i could future proof a bit, i have zero complaints with this motherboard it has all the cool updated features I could ask for. I do wish the BIO's was a bit better but thats very minor.

The Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro is spectacular and I cant wait to buy two more sticks down the road.

For my storage I have zero complaints with the Samsung 860 Evo 500gb and WD Caviar Blue 1TB, I run my OS off the 500gb SSD and it flies, runs great.

I chose the Asus Geforce GTX because it was the best price 1070 8 Gb i could find, it was much cheper when I bought it, Most of the items on this list I got at great discounts but I have not taken the time to update my purchase price lol so far this thing is still a beast though for 1080p gaming and it is not nearly as loud as some people say it is, I love it, plus it is white and fits in my build so nicely, I hope to upgrade this later down the road but 1080p game is enough for me as we speak.

The Fractal design Meshify C is the most beautiful case, This was one of the hardest decisions for me to make but when I found this thing I knew it was the case I needed, was so easy to build in, has amazing cable management options and is literally such a great case, couldnt be happier about this item.

For Power supply like everyone else i went a bit overkill but i really don't care I just did and it was fully modular with great reviews and has worked great.

The Corsair LL120 RGB Led fans look AMAZING, run a bit loud and dont offer as great of cooling as some options but the cooling has been more the sufficient enough for me and I just love how they look, literally stunning and so much fun to mess around with the different RBG options.

with these fans you need the Corsair HD RGB fan Hub to run the RGB and be able to have full RGB control, spent a lot of time researching this stuff so i knew i bought the right things, I also bought the Corsair Commander PRO so i could power all my fans through it and not all through the motherboard, you PWR the fans through the Commander pro and then run the Corsair fan hub from the first LED slot on the Commander Pro and the you connect all the 3 pin RGB connectors to the Fan hub and bingo good to go, the meshify C case has great mounting options for these two devices on the back of the case. Love these products even though they were a bit pricey for essentially "looks" rather than the best performance i could get, still wouldnt change my mind, they're amazing!

I use an elgato HD60 Pro to capture my console gameplay and it works amazingly, also couldn't be happier with this product either, basically is plug and play.

Finally the CableMod Modmesh Pro top off my build and bring it all together, their product is EXTREMELY high quality and the best of the best, just make sure to check their website so you get the correct set to match with your fully modular power supply

I built this PC with my dad who use to build PC's years ago for work and we had so much fun with this project, being it my first time building I still had a lot of knowledge from watching countless videos and tutorials but without my dad it would not have nearly turned out as perfect, was a great father son bonding experience, Yes corny but is the full truth. Hope you all enjoy this build, if you have any questions send me a message OR even BETTER go follow me on my twitch account Psalms R Sweaty https://www.twitch.tv/psalms_r_sweaty and ask me any questions you want right in chat and I'd be happy to help you out, you will have better luck reaching me on my twitch or even possibly my twitter @PsalmsRSweaty, thanks for everything guys! This website was a huge help with getting me started on my first PC build!

Nice, but why not the 2070?

You do realize 1070s go for about 350 and 2070s go for 500 or more... I got a 1070 strix 350 and it's a real champ, it evens out at 2088mhz at +80 core, max voltage, max power/temp

I did not realize that he got it for a cheaper price. If I paid 440 dollars for 1070, I would rather get 2070 for 60 dollars more.

thank you and i actually got the 1070 for a lot cheaper than the listed price on pcpp

Great cable management but, a 2070 would only cost $100 more.

$100 can be a lot sometimes. It's perfectly fine for 1080p gaming.

Yeah, but it makes a big difference for what? A day of saving up.

Do you understand how money works?

I don't really need to, i'm fairly loaded... I own several stores online and earn enough to not worry over $100.

Really dude? Come on, we don't all own a few ******* stores online and can get $100 in one day. I'm not OP, I don't know OP's money situation, but it would take me a deal of time to get $100. Also, sometimes there's no reason to spend for more than you need. OP has two 1080p monitors, not a 1440p monitor. He even said he got a good deal on the card. He saved money and still got a great 1080p card.

Hey, everybody can do it.... if you want I'll tell you how. I set up one store in 2 hours and posted a few ads and boom $1000 in one day. Everyone can do it, just no one knows about it.

Unless you have a seperate streaming PC a RTX card would have been a better choice IMO.

How are your CPU temperatures with the Ryzen's stock "Wraith Prism" CPU cooler?

They have been good, couldn’t get you the temp off the top of my head at work right now but it probably runs average to slightly above if it’s warm in my room but for the most part everything stays nice and cool
