I'm a young fellow (14 years old) from the Netherlands and I've always dreamt of building a Gaming PC myself. Well it finally happened and here's the result. I built it all by myself and I think it turned out pretty well.
If you want to see how I build her: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yBMbbAr9EHg
CPU: A good and stable processor for gaming. A lot of people going to be whiny that I paired it with a Z97 motherboard, this is because I can then just upgrade my processor later on and I don't have to change my motherboard too when I want to upgrade me CPU. Yes a i5 4690k is only 40euros more, I know. ;P
MOBO: As I said a Z97, nothing special really. Just a good board with a nice looking black and blue colour scheme which matches the windforce led on the gtx970 and the fury RAM. I like it.
RAM: 8gigs' enough for me and for gaming. Yes I do video editing too but 8 will do just fine. Looks cool too.
HARD DRIVE: A good reliable hard drive from WD.
GPU: I really hesitated about this part. A gtx960 would be enough for me but I think the 970 is worth the extra ~130bucks. I hope this beast will never let me down. :D
CASE: Awesome case, looks cool, nice airflow, good cable management. Overall just an amazing chassis.
PSU: When I bought my PC components this was the part I changed as last. Before I had a 520w of the same series but I thought some extra headroom would be nice for future upgrades, and 10bucks for 100w more? I'll take it.
OS: So I got Windows Pro because it was a student discount for only 60bucks, altough in the list it says it's 130.
PRICE: I live in the Netherlands so all prices are different. In total it cost me 950€ so around 1030$. And it is worth every cent of it.
Sorry for the blurry pictures, my 1millionyear old DSLR doesn't want to focus when something is further away than 20cm. lol. Please don't care about the cable management outside the case, it's temporarily. Game in the picture is Dying Light, it works perfectly (never below 50fps) at 1080p maxed out. Do you have questions? Want more pics? Ask it down below :)
Serves me well.
Pretty pretty board.
