Description

I got the computer put together and it posted on the first try. I'm in the process of moving everything over from my old computer so I haven't had time to work on overclocking. The prices have been adjusted for combo discount and mail in rebates. I already had a copy of Windows 7 Home Premium and the optical drive is out of my old computer. I'll be using it for light to moderate gaming.

My bad, the psu was $29.99 and the GPU was $119.99. Thanks.

Definitely one of the best and cleanest budget builds I've seen in a while on this site. Great job man. +1

The board has worked great but I think I'd go with the 970A-G46 because it has heat sinks on the vrm.

im sorry im really new to this but what is a vrm?

It stands for voltage regulator module. The 43 board doesn't have heatsinks on them while the 46 does. Sometimes it can cause heat problems when you overclock. I've got a slight overclock on my cpu and haven't had any problems.

could this support bf4 on high/med settings?

I don't have BF4 yet but I'm guessing it should run it on medium.

I downloaded a bunch of games off Humble Bundle and have been playing them so I haven't had a chance to get BF4. It should easily run it on medium settings and might be able to run it on high. Thanks.

Nice build and great cable management! Can I ask how the GPU is working for you? I'm interested in getting the same card.

Thanks. I'm mainly running older games such as BF3, Crysis 2 etc, and it does a decent job on them.

Hows the GPU

Like I told Lacota The Narwhal, I mainly run the older games and it does a decent job on them. I'm sure it could handle the newer games but it would be on medium settings.

I am looking at the same cpu and gpu. Does it game well?

In all honesty I downloaded a bunch of games off Humble Bundle and have been playing them. It's done a good job on the older games but I haven't tried it on the newer ones. I'm guessing it should do a pretty good job on medium settings, it all depends on the game I suppose.
