I am going back to school for a CS degree and wanted a computer I could actually work on.
All THE MONITORS!!! and only on a 2gb cards?
I have 3 monitors on my discrete graphics (2Gb), and 3 on my integrated graphics (500Mb).
Oh Ok cool
USE ALL THE MONITORS
I cannot imagine using all that screen real estate. Good on you if you can though!
I saw 3x42inch tv's being used as monitors, but not 6x21.5in monitors. Holy crap that is a lot of screen real estate. +1
I think you might want some more monitors. :P
Wow, all those screens look amazing
Dem monitors tho. All the monitors. Can you handle them? SUNDAY SUNDAY SUNDAY WATCH AS SOME ONE ONE THE INTERNET TRIES TO ACTUALLY USE ALL OF THEM MONITORS. That's awesome tho seriously, every window of Unity could be split up to have one on each. That's fabulous for a dev.
No one got the Matrix reference? Really? Wow, I thought people would see that. You get a +1 from myself and nice build!
no but really, that one base can hold them all? impressive.
It was destroying my $20 ikea desk so I reinforced it with a $6 2 by 4 (underneath).
I'm CS major and I approve this build.
I don't think you have quite enough monitors.... 12 or nothing!
Great build! +1
Wait there's a 1x3 rubick??
I think there's a slot in the desk ;)
It's actually a coaster my girlfriend got me =) When you put all the coasters together it looks like a full Rubik's cube!
That's pretty fancy :P
This is me using the monitors... It's really too much room for web browsing, and just enough for dev work.
... how 0.0
can you post a link on that monitor mount. I'm looking to expand to 3 or 5 monitors and looking for a good place to buy from? kudos on the build. very nice and simple
I have it as linked as I can get it in pcparkpicker, but since it's external, they don't like it.
Here you go! http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00AMM3WLK/ref=oh_details_o04_s01_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
WOW!! sooo cool! (feels nostalgic for her SNES and N64) I wonder how's to play Battlefield 4 on that beautifull monitor mosaic. Congrats!
I like the screen real estate, and definitely like the build. But how do you use those EVIL ergonomic keyboards? ;)
Hello! how is the R7 260X working with the 430 W PSU? somebody scared me telling me that 430 W 80%+ is not enough to handle it in an intel based build. Thanks for your advice!
It would be plenty enough for even a r9 280 and 8320
This seems like a perfect build for a lan party.
You could've just went with 1 monitor and ditched the 260x and went with a 295x2 and definitely play Hunt the Wumpus @ 120fps in 4k all day.
Get 'em, tiger.
All the monitors though, wish i lived in america! +1
I know im late to the party but is the video card good enough for gaming and video editing. Also really awesome build i cant get my mind around why you would need that much space.
+1 for Super Nintendo, -1 for Nintendo 64, +1 for a nice build, = +1 from me!
N64 deserves as much credit as the Super Nintendo does lol, lots of great games for both systems. But the highlight here is the computer, awesome monitor setup!
Wasn't the n64 the first one to implement the analog stick? You know, the one that defines movement controls on all modern consoles?
What kind of development are you doing? Should be great for anything though.
I'm in school for CS - using java right now but I'll get into python, machine learning, and plenty more I'm sure later.
