This build is a modification of my original x99 5960x build in a white Enthoo primo. The case is a bit outdated for these days so I gutted it and painted it. Made some custom panels, upgraded the hardware and while it's mostly done it's got a few finishing touches to be added and will be updated in the next couple weeks.
I chose my old primo as I feel everyone has the same 4 cases these days. In fact I am guilty of it as well as I did a 1800x build in an TG evolv. I was using it as a primary system but after looking at it for a month and seeing the 100s of other evolv builds it just got so boring to have something everyone else had. With the new HEDT line up coming out for Intel and AMD I was originally going to go Intel and I did buy a 7900x and well that setup left me rather quickly as TR is just a better offering for my purposes. I had considered getting a caselabs case but once again it's on the list of overused cases imo. Phanteks cases these days aren't made as well as they use to be and the primo is an example of quality that isn't there at phanteks these days. So while it's not glass and it's not flashy as newer cases that are out, with some tlc it's still an amazing case. So I decided to just make it my own rather than do something very generic.
These touches are
1) addressing some of the paint issues on minor areas. Need a respray of some areas that were masked off since they would not be exposed ended up being exposed lol.
2) Waiting on 2 more 960 evos and EK heatsinks for them before they are added in.
This build is used for vm labs and some light gaming.
So to answer any questions about rigidity, the case is more stable now than it was stock. Due to the rad in the front and the screwed in back panel. Not a huge RGB fan so I just stick to single colors without all the rainbows flashing around. Some may ask why I have two threadripper blocks. I didn't know if I wanted to go with clear or black acetal so I bought both. I ended up going black for the cpu loop and plexi for the gpu loop for the most part. Whenever the bitspower monoblock drops it will be added.
