Description

So I've finally updated not only my computer, but also bought a new monitor. I'm coming from an HD6770 and a Phenom II X6 1090t. Some ancient HP prebuilt from 8-9 years ago.

Goal with this build was 144hz/1440p + freesync so that's why I'm going all AMD. Budget was about a grand excluding the monitor.

Part Reviews

CPU

No further description needed. Amazing price, amazing performance. Stock cooler is great.

Motherboard

Great little board. Does everything it's advertised to do. Only problem is the lack of fan headers and slightly bad SATA port placement. Otherwise perfect.

Memory

Smoking fast and good looking B-die ram. Got it for $200.

Storage

Blazing fast and a great price, form factor, and look.

Video Card

Absolute unit of a card. Great performance.

Case

Awesome aesthetic case. Checks off all major points in terms of compactness, flexibility and customization. The magnetic filters are prone to warping during transport, and feel a little flimsy but it's fine otherwise. Great airflow and fits all my parts!

Power Supply

Beautiful power supply. High quality, includes amazing looking heat-shrunk and sleeved cables. A++

Case Fan

Beautiful, quiet, good price. High airflow. Literally 0 noise.

Case Fan

Beautiful, quiet, good price. High airflow. Literally 0 noise.

Should be, but waiting is always better.

Nice build. Did your MOBO take the ryzen 5 2600 or did you need a boot kit for it..?

What a monster, beautiful dark build. I'm pretty surprised you say it has good airflow, I've had others struggle with this case.

Is it worth putting an exhaust fan on the roof with how restrictive it is?

I say "good", it's adequate. No problems and I live in Florida.

It is pretty tight in there, I'd say you don't need one but you always could.
