Description

Hello everyone! This is my first time building my own computer. I will say, it was definitely lots of fun. I did run into some issues for sure along the way, but I know now for fact it was worth it.

I was able to pay for some of the parts, but was also gifted some due to my birthday being on the 31st. This rig is quite the upgrade from my old system. Haven't had a chance to really test it out, but the time will come.

I will be using it for mainly gaming and surfing the interwebs.

Part Reviews

CPU

Great cpu! Was a no brainer when selecting this, its perfect for my needs. Haven't really oc'd yet because the motherboard is a bit wonky, but I will get into that in my review of the mobo.

Motherboard

I give this three stars. I only ended up purchasing it because I got it brand new for 60 dollars locally. When I can, I will most likely replace it. The bios doesn't allow me to really take advantage of my ram.

Memory

Works great, would love to be able to push to the limit.

Storage

Does what I need it to do, and its a good value.

Storage

Again, works great, does the job well.

Video Card

Will give a more in depth review when I get the chance to really test it out.

Case

Love this case. Lots of room, love that all the panels are removable. Will get fans for the case as soon as my funds come in.

Power Supply

Got a good deal on this power supply, its a little overkill but i figured it would leave some room to upgrade other things if need be.

Monitor

Love this monitor so far. Freesync works great. Got it for 214 at walmart with tax.

Keyboard

Like the keyboard so far. This is my first mech keyboard and I'm ready to put it to the test.

Mouse

It's okay, I mean it was 30 bucks. I will invest in a better mouse soon.

I'm very new to pc's. Is this case shape better then a nzxt 340 ? I kinda like the box look. Also nice build. Thanks

I'm pretty new to pc's as well, but I really liked this case. I haven't really had experience with that case. I wanted to go with a smaller build this time and this case is great. I appreciate that, it was fun being my first one.

Hi, cool build Probably going to build a system in the core v21 and am wondering, what is it like building in that case with a non modular Psu?

It's not too bad really. Cable management is definitely harder though. I'd recommend at least a semi modular psu for it.

Thanks. Have changed my PSU to semi modular as I am new to PC building and an definitely not experienced at the dark art of cable management!!!
