i love it! i have one question though. instead of an i5 cpu could i change that out with an i7 quad core? i dont know a lot about computers so im sorry if this is a dumb question.

as far as I know, the processors for an i5 and an i7 should be the same size and have similar sized fans. so I don't see why it wouldn't work

Nice build! Might wanna look into a noctua nf-f12. Better static pressure and directed air flow to hit that stock cpu cooler better. And where's the 960's pictures??? Also the finished product would be nice to see lol

This build sounds awesome! Do you have any pictures of it fully built? I actually wanted to build something like this, but put it in a Fat 50 50 caliber ammo can so I can take it around with me.

800 shoe box, this is beautiful.

The only thing i would have change in our place, is take out the SSD and get the small form factor gtx 970. Its the size of two credit cards and it has the same performance as the rest.

But i guess some people like their boot times.

Its not THAT bad as long as you have a quiet case in which case you hear a faint noise of wind if not you get a deafaning buzzing noise

its PWM........ if you run it at full speed 2000 rpms it will be LOUD just as any other fan at that speed... I used to have sickleflows on my old build and I ran them at 40% at which they still move good amount of air..

36.0 dbA, I would say this is pretty loud.
