Description

Hi all, My first pc build ever. Was trying to keep it simple and clean in black/white/gray theme. Not quite happy with the blue-ish cast of the silverstone led lights (was meant to be white) but overall i think it deosn't look bad.

Processor runs at 3.8ghz with cooler set to silent mode and reaching 50-55 degrees while gaming or heavy photoshop use.

Graphics card remains silent while idle and reaching temps in excess of 40-45 degrees. It does get quite loud during gaming sessions. Bought this while waiting for the vega release.

Replaced all case fans to Noctua, for obvious reasons :)

Monitor is an Acer XF270HUA (not XF270HU), i was very confused while searching for it. The old XF270HU has the thick frame while HUA is the thin frame, updated version (writing this just in case someone is confused same as i was). Beatiful colours, IPS panel, 144Hz and freesync

Edit: I have now added closed loop liquid cooling to the graphics card reducing the temps and noise substantially. If anyone wonders how on earth did i fit another liquid cooler to this case with a matx mobo the answer is quite simple: it's sat on the other side of the case where the psu is :) i have used another kraken x31 and the kraken g10 for this. Temps are now 28-30 degrees idle and 50-55 degrees at load. Pics coming soon :)

In all honesty, dont buy windows 10 for £83. you can buy the operating system from ebay for £20 and its pretty legit. try considering cable combs for those black and white extension to give it a cleaner look. but other then that, the build looks sooooo awesome. well done !!!

Wasn't thinking much about windows to be honest, just bought it all together but fair point. You can't even imagine how pissed i was when i found out that a 50 pound set of Cablemod cables came without the combs :/ thanks for stopping by :)

Hey Darius

I wanted to ask you for a favor. I am planing a really similar build also with the Ryzen 1700, MSI Mortar Arctic and the Kraken 31. I will build 3 "Render-Nodes" as I am working in the Architecture Visualization area. For me would be really interesting how high your Benchmark for Corona would be?

If you could run it quick for me and tell me your result, I would be soooooo thankfull :-) Attached is the link of the Benchmark site of Corona Renderer.

Thanks in advantage and grettings from Spain.

Hi this looks great. I'm in process on my first build and it's very similar to yours. How is the 580 handling 1440p? I wanted to go 1440p but ended up ordering a 1080p monitor because I wasn't sure if the 580 could pull it off.

Thanks for posting these pics! I was looking to verify that the Pulse would fit in the case. Happy to see it does.
