Description

See parts list for all specs! After some time, I decided that it would be best to just go for it and build a pc. I spent a lot of time using an ASUS ROG laptop with a 1050ti on a 60hz 17" screen, so this is a major upgrade for me and I could not be happier with the results. Main use is for shooters and streaming.

Only issue that i ran in to was going with the x62 instead of the x72. I did not have enough clearance, so I had to mount the cooler in the front and sacrifice the 3 RGB fans in the front. I ended up mounting them on the top, and will soon upgrade to two 140mm RGB fans for the cooler up front. I will also be adding another SP120 RGB down at the bottom in front of the PSU shroud because I can't stand the open space there.

And, if you have not heard yet, the 2080s are extremely heavy and mine was beginning to sag on the right side. I looked in to braces but everything just looked so bulky. So, after looking around my garage for something to throw in there that would match my blue/white/black color scheme, I found an old JUUL and it just so happened to be the perfect height LOL. Took a C-Clamp to flatten both sides and then light sanding on the sharp edges that are touching the GPU, and that's it. I thought it was hilarious, and my buddies got a kick out of it too.

Peripherals and such:

Cablemod Pro ModMesh Light Blue PSU Cables

Logitech G502

Corsair K70 RapidFire Low Profile

HyperX Cloud Revolver S (Soon to be Steel Series Arctis Pro Wireless)

Asus PG279Q as main @ 165hz, and secondary is a cheap target brand that I will be upgrading eventually, but not that important at the moment

Nice color scheme, I absolutely love the Dominator Ram. Feel free to check out my build I just completed about 2 months ago and you'll see what I mean.

Love it! I just need two more and my life will be complete..How is the quality on the AIO sleeves? Been looking at adding some of the light blue ones on but have heard mixed reviews

Mldeboo1 1 Build 1 point 2 months ago

The AIO sleeves are a nice add on. I really like the way they look. The build quality is okay but it does the job. I recommend them. I think you'll overall be happy with them.

How hard was it moving the RGB to the top

WiTey -7 points 2 months ago

It will be better upgrading your ram to 32GB instead of 16.

diypartsjoy 1 Build 5 points 2 months ago

I'm not so sure about that.

bobbysix 3 Builds 4 points 2 months ago

Why? No games use that much RAM and by the time they do use that much, DD5 RAM will be the norm. 16 GB is the sweet spot for gaming in 2019 unless you do something else that requires 32 GB.

trylaarsdam 3 Builds 1 point 2 months ago

There are many applications and use cases for 32gb or even more RAM. While most modern games don’t use even 16gbs, professional or even hobbiest level CAD, video editing/rendering and Virtualiziation can easily use more than 16gbs (not to mention chrome uses more RAM than ever lol).

My opinion.

uhh if my browser can use 6gb of RAM with only 20 tabs I’d call that terrible RAM management

Not sure what you're smoking. Smoke does take more RAM than other effects though.

tffeverklear submitter 1 Build 1 point 2 months ago

Honestly, I might add 2 more of the Dominator Platinum just for looks... sure I would never need anywhere near that as this is strictly gaming/streaming, but it looks so clean with 4

WiTey 1 point 2 months ago

I was just giving my own opinion,I didnt say that he should or shouldn’t upgrade, but if it was MY pc I would’ve definitely upgraded it.

Damn, joined PCPP and this is your first comment?

That's a bold move Cotton, let's see if it pays off.

WiTey 0 points 2 months ago

My opinion,calm down.

Phildilf 3 Builds 1 point 2 months ago

Then start with "In my opinion..."

You literally told him what he did would have been better.

You are wrong. Even if it is your opinion, you're wrong.

Ok.
