Description

BIO: I didn't grow up in a wealthy family. I had to work a job since I was 16 to help my bankrupt family. I never saved much for myself. My first desktop was an Asus prebuilt solution with AMD APU. I gamed on it until the processor fried itself.

Fast forward 5 years. I'm 21 and have been in the military for 3 years. I'm going to school now for film. I have an obsession with PC building. I follow every tech tuber and check google frequently for new tech releases. I've built PCs for my roommate, sister, and girlfriend.

This is my build ("Frosty" name idea from: Tyreathian). Thank you PC Master Race and everyone who has checked out my build.

I feel like I've seen this PC on TechSource's Setup Wars... Hmmmmm

But great build though, would be better with more photos (Probably 5 more), other than that this is a sweet rig.

Dude, phantekstic build! chuckles Absolutely gorgeous. I love what you've done with the ssd's and the cable management is superb. I, myself, hate the arctic camo of the Sabertooth board, but I want white, and the TUF board. I was going to go AIO for a cooling solution, but the fact that the phanteks cooler hides the camo so well.....you have made me rethink my original decision. The EVGA FTW card, imho, looks awesome in there. The slight silver/black accent really makes the rest of the build pop and feel more natural. A HOF would have overdone it. Altogether a damn nice piece of art. Well done. applauding

What Brand paint did you choose for the CPU cooler the whites match up perfectly. I think this cooler only comes in white for the LGA 1151 Socket.

Oh, and DAMN, DUDE! MORE! More pictures please! I'd like to see pictures of your case, much like the first picture, but at different angles so I can see how much the camo is showing - if you don't mind. Overall, people want to see more of your build. You should certainly let them appreciate it. I will be referencing this build for quality and aesthetics when my friends ask me what a great pc can look like.

So you waste 1500 on Freesync monitors.... Instead of buying a X34 and another monitor..

i think you just need more pictures otherwise it's a beautiful build. +1

p.s. your cable management makes me warm inside.

Beautiful build, love all the part choices, I enjoyed reading your description as well, add more pictures you got something great, might as well show it off. (lol) What card is sitting behind the monitor? Also, what did you use to cover the ssd's?

  • 2 points

Thank you very much. I'll put more photos when I get the opportunity. The card is the EVGA 750 FTW. My first graphics card. I used a carbon fiber wrap for the SSDs. It was easy to put on and rather inexpensive I'll put a link to it in the part list.

Can I get a link to those cable combs?

Yes check out ensourced.net you caan buy the combs but in order to put them on the cables have to be removed from the plastic connector.

Dang. I have evga sleeved cables and I'm having a hard time finding some good combs for them that don't require me to take them apart. I have some but they suck

  • 1 point

Well you could try putting them on if you cut them and hot glue them back shut.

Can you please explain the monitor on the left and why it is in that position? Looks useless from here... Great build otherwise! +1

The angle of the photo is a little off. I actually sit in front of that one most frequent. It is for gaming and the other more for work flow. I plan on getting a monitor arm in the future that will allow me to reposition theses for when I am using one or the other.

Damn that is a good looking build! It really does look like frost took over the interior of your case, except the 1080. I really like it, congrats on being able to build what you want!

You worked hard and deserve this beautiful rig. Great color scheme, too. Might be easier on your eyes if you got a desk with more depth. Then again, idk how much resolution and curved monitor plays into ergonomics. Also, post more pics!

Your build looks sweet! I can't decide if I want the black NZXT case or the white one that you got. On a side note what do you plan on studying in film school and where were you looking at going? I'm hoping to go to a film school as well in a couple years.

Good stuff. How do you like that monitor? Was considering it, but they haven't had any good deals on it yet. Is it bright enough? I know they reduce these for BLB, curious of 250 will be enough for long term burnout.

Just the top. The rest comes factor powder coated. Doesn't affect thermals at all.

Super nice build! Definitely +1. However, I'm getting the 34UC79G, and I was just wondering if you like it as a monitor, and if it would be good for editing purposes and gaming? Thanks! ^

Your 1080p ultrawide, I'm looking to get that. Does the picture it gives a little blurry since it's 1080p or is it good?
