Description

Sup guys! Thanks to AMD sending me their new Ryzen 7 1700 CPU and an ASUS Crosshair VI Hero motherboard, I had a chance to build and benchmark this PC!

I just wanted to share what I put together with you guys...

Btw benchmarks can be found on my YT channel here!

I still have to overclock my CPU but it's been great so far in productivity applications.

Also, thanks to be quiet! for the AM4 bracket and the case!

Doesn't have to be flashy as long as it is clean then you got a good chance.

+1 for that rear side cable management, Nice build!

That rear cable management is crazy good. I really really like the all black look, I didn't think it even needed the blue accent RGB but that actually adds a nice touch. Very nicely done.

Do you have temps on both idle and load on ryzen 1700 stock cooler?

Did you have trouble installing the Ram Modules, because i see that giant monster cooler covering all XD... THX

In the slots I have them in it's not an issue, they slide right underneath the fan

I'm looking to buy this cooler but currently have all 4 slots occupied. My RAM is low profile, so height is not an issue for me, but I'm worried the cooler blocks the closest ram slot to the socket. Does it block it?

Same

the heatsink itself does not cover any RAM slots, only the fan

What is that PCB for on the back of the case next to the hard drive?

that is a fan/LED controller

Yo how is the cooler? Does it strain the board at all, it is a beefy cooler, and I was thinking about it for my build in august.

the pictures of the CPU cooler clearance over both the ram sticks and over the crosshair hero heat sinks are very helpful

Are those LED lights coming from one of the parts listed, or did you install them yourself?
