Description

My son needed something that would run GTA V without having to turn down all the settings.

Well, he says he's got everything turned up high on this, and is delighted with it.

I just added a couple of red led strips I got from a popular auction Web site, which made it look pretty neat (well, my son likes it anyway, and that's all that matters in the end I guess).

Thanks to Ian for all your help and advice.

This is a good build here. I am certain your son loves it! It should last him for quite some time. +1

Nice build but what made you go with that particular SSD? It's not bad per se... but for a little more money you could've gotten something a whole lot better. Nevertheless, this is one fantastic build, your son is lucky :)

It does suck, but it's still an enormous leap over mechanical drives. It took my boot time from 2-5 minutes to 10 seconds. I wouldn't recommend this SSD over others, but the price on it has always been enticing.

You had 2-5 minute boots times? That seems off...

5 minute boots were pretty rare, but 2 minutes was normal. Now I just use the drive for archived media.

my pc starts in 10 seconds with normal hard disk, 2 minutes ?!?!? if i had like 100 viruses it would take a minute!

Yep, but there will always be people focused on spending that bottom dollar, so it'll happen here and there. I bought mine back when the V300 was much cheaper, so it made more sense. Knowing now, I definitely would spend the extra cash.
