Previous Builds:

I'm finally finished with my all-out, no holding back, build. There is very minimal I can do to improve upon this one.

I got the itch to build another PC after finding out that Amazon was stocking the Inwin D-Frame 2.0 again. I always wanted this case as I thought it would be awesome for hard tubing. This was my first time doin hardline bends, so be nice! I think it came out well. I use a few 90 degree fittings coming from the blocks, but all the other bends are my handy work. I only had a few issues with this build. The first was getting the radiators mounted. I had to order some universal xspc brackets to get it done, as the ones included with the case didn't quite fit my need. Another issue was that I cracked one of the terminals on one of the gpu waterblocks after putting it back together from cleaning it. I didn't notice until I filled the loop and water started spraying everywhere. Luckily nothing was damaged. I also had a problem with Primochill VUE and tons of build up after only 2 days of running it. It corroded the mono block and GPU blocks. Both the radiators and all the waterblocks were brand new, and I ran sysprep > distilled water > distilled water > reboot > distilled water > distilled water > distilled water then let it dry for a few days. This did not prevent the buildup. So now the VUE is fully flushed and Im using distilled water + utopia + UV Purple Intensifier.

I got over 31k on firestrike without the need for me to do any overclocking.

I wonder if a Jets-themed PC would have a pentium D and a logisys PSU, because they belong in the dump at this point.

Anyway, certainly a feature-worthy build, the hard-tubing looks perfect, and that case! I want one! +1

Preaching to the Choir... An Eagles build would have a single 1080ti that would burn up its VRMs a couple months in, but then you would pull that trusty 1060 out of the drawer and it would magically run 4k at 60 fps...

Amazing build! I do have a few questions though:

1) About how loud does that thing get?

2) Does your build have any dust filters or a way to combat dust build up?

3) What do you hope to use this beast of a computer for? (Just curious. Usually builds like this is for stuff like high quality video rendering or creativity)

4) How good does **** look :D (Sorry)

  • 2 points

1) Its my quietest build yet. Its running very very silent.

2) No dust defense :(

3) To browse the net with Chrome

4) ...

  • 2 points

I find dust filters to be pretty useless and just remove them. They restrict airflow way too much and only prolong cleaning dust (1 time a month --> 2 times a month). Dusting only takes about 3 minutes (especially with that case) so I don't see a reason to worry!

nice build just suggestion for your next hardline build. try to keep the bends consistent like if you're going for 90 degree angle bends, then make all bends 90 degrees. also try not to overlap. i know its tough and 1/2 tubing is a b**ch but just thought i'd share since you said youre new to hardline tubing. Also i agree on fluid. stay the f away from pastels and vues and all that **** not worth it because cleaning it is a *****. best stuff is clear coolant and add a dye . basically distilled and biocide = what u have = clear coolant. I burned myself twice with pastels never again.

edit: btw jezus dude 14k and i thought my s**** was expensive at 5k. I hope u do more than just gaming with it

I was wondering if that Photon mounting bracket that mounts to the radiator came with the Photon pump/res combo or if you purchased that separate? I have the older Photon 170 mounting bracket that has the big flat plate that mounts to nothing unless you want to poke holes in your case. I've been looking for an option to mount to the front res for a while now. +1 on your build very nice.

Hi , beautiful build btw

What am I looking at on pic 12? Is that an m.2 with a heatsink??

And I have an evo 500gb m.2, so my next question is do I need one of those, like is it necessary? I've never even thought of looking at the temps of that drive

  • 1 point

yeah, its a m.2 heatsink. I personally don't think they're necessary in my build, got it mainly for aesthetics. These m.2 drives will throttle if overheated. But I've never seen them overheat.

  • 2 points

Are the 960 evos in Raid 0?, and just about the only thing you can improve would be more ram, which is not needed.

  • 1 point

They actually aren't 960's theyre samsung 981's. But no they aren't raided... you need an intel vroc key for that I believe. And they need to be intel drives. haven't really looked into it tho.

I'm just wondering why you decided to go with the Star Wars edition Titan XP if you're just going to put a water block on it. Isn't it supposed to use the integrated cooler? I thought that's what it was meant for.

  • 1 point

Lol

  • 2 points

Not bad at all for a first time build. I might suggest waiting for one end to fully cool before doing the second bend (unless of course you already did that), as doing them sequentially but immediately following each other is often what leads to the overbending you have. But since they are slight, and continue the curves well it still flows well. Congrats on the feature!

  • 1 point

Its because I miscalculated the length. I had to go back and stretch some of the bends out instead of doing the right thing and recutting and rebending.

  • 2 points

Okay, that makes sense. Yeah, I've had to waste some tubes doing that in the past... Definitely is worth it though. At least when you love right angles as much as I do.

  • 2 points

Just get a titan V

  • 1 point

For what reason(s)?

  • 2 points

Well if your gaming, most games better support 1 card vs SLI, but as you said below you like the look of 2 cards.

  • 1 point

True... For those games that support one card, They will still be powered by a Titan Xp :)

  • 2 points

But is this computer elite?

Okay serious question and I don't mean this with any dislike whatsoever. But why did you get the StarWars Titan Xp if you're just gonna throw a water block on the card anyways? Like I said no hatred I'm just curious lol.

  • 1 point

Ive answered this many times, but its still a valid question. The answer is price. The cost for the collectors edition cards were cheaper, and at the end of the day they are still collectors edition cards and the heatsink/fan can go back on to them with no problem.

  • 2 points

Ah okay that makes sense. Sorry, I didn't realize you answered this question already.

Hi, just wondering what cable length is optimal for this case? I have the same case/psu (d frame 2.0) and grab some off cablemod, I measured the cables that came with the case/psu but some are so long it doesn’t make sense.

What length did you go with for 24pin, EPS and GPU?

my cables were from a kit. I didn't get custom lengths. I just managed to hide it all behind the back glass.

The Baltimore Who's?

I have one thing with this system other than jokingly making fun of a team I'm not a fan of. Why didn't you go with a Titan V instead of two Titan Xp's? SLI is slowly dying out with DX12 being a hip new thing that says no to SLI, but either way the build is phenomenal. +1

  • 2 points

I wanted to go SLI. I love the look of dual cards. Also, there isn't a water block available for the Titan V. When Volta based GTX's arrive, I will definitely start a new build.

When your such a baller you spend $1700+ because you love the look of dual cards. You are now my idol.
