I wanted to build a work PC for freelancing. I'm a 3D animator and I use Cinema 4D and Octane Render. I also needed CPUs for After Effects. This was my first PC that I built. It took a lot of research, but it was fun. I've been very happy with it so far!
I originally bought two GPUs, but I decided to put another in there and it was a tight fit, but everything is working fine. The hybrid cards keep the temperatures low and I don't have to worry about them not getting enough airflow or anything. For those using Octane, the OctaneBench photo score is from two 980 tis, I'm now getting close to 400 with the 3 cards. I didn't pay too much attention to cable management, I was just happy to get everything in there and working! Let me know if you see anything I could improve. PCpartpicker was a great resource to learn about this stuff. Hope this helps someone else.
This was a great compromise for me. It has the CPU cores I needed to balance the GPU power. I'm not sure I needed the overclockable edition, but it's nice to have if I get into that.
I love this motherboard. The quality and color and support software from MSI is great.
This drive is incredibly fast to have your OS on. I can't believe how small it is!
This drive was great until I changed my power supply and the circuit board burnt. I have ordered a replacement PCB and hope that solves the problem!
These Hybrid designs are incredible. I didn't want to deal with water cooling, so this has it all built in. It keeps the temperatures very low. I don't think they have gone over 40 degrees using Octane.
Great case and quality build and very quiet. If I had to do over again I probably would get a full tower just to have more room. With 3 GPUs it gets tight.
Needed to upgrade to this to run 3 GPUs. Quality construction and packaging. Love the modular cabling, and they are easier to shape than the Corsair cables I had before.
This mouse is fantastic for 3D work!
