When I couldn't decide on a case, I asked my kid what color it should be. He wanted blue and white but after seeing the purple and white H440, we decided on that one. This will be my first enthusiast build in over 10 years. Been slogging along with an old Dell T5500 for almost 8 years and it's finally starting to fail.
Started with an EVGA GTX 1080 FTW, then stepped up to an FTW2 then did another step up to a GTX 1080ti SC Black. (yay EVGA Step Up Program!)
Changed out the 16GB 4000Mhz TridentZs for 64GB 3600Mhz Vengeance LPX (PCPartspicker doesn't have the 3600s listed, so I put 3333 as the closest)
RAID0 everything. 2x NVMe (1TB boot drive) 2x SSD (2TB fast game drive) 2x HDD (8TB storage and slow game drive)
Compared to all my current rigs (980 lives in my X5690, 960 lives in my E3-1225, Ultrabook with GTX 1070 Gaming Box over eGPU, Asus GL502VS Gaming Laptop) - http://www.3dmark.com/compare/fs/12941184/fs/11579998/fs/11388826/fs/11385288/fs/13165267
Great performance, decent overclocking if you get the right one.
Looks great. Keeps the CPU nice and cool (68C at 4.8Ghz with 1300mv). coolant hoses on the side cause issues for tall memory. Recommend Vengeance LPX for this if you use all 4 slots
Looks great. Lots of options. Lots of tuning On board sound card caused many issues of no-sound. Disabled it and bought a Sennheiser GSX 1200 Pro instead
Stupid fast. Bit expensive.
Great speed. Good looks on an open case
fast, reliable and quiet.
Excellent build quality. Great fit and finish. Easy to display good wire management up front, but the rear leaves a little to be desired
Perfect Color, great looks.
Viewing angles suffer but is super fast. Color reproduction leaves much to be desired. Not recommended for video or photo editing
