Description

It was time for a major upgrade. I wanted to take my gaming to the next level and push a PC build to its limits (with in reason). My past PC's were all very low end. I was barely getting by, graphics wise, playing the games I wanted. I made do, until now!

My idea was to make the smallest and fastest rig I could with overclocking abilities. This rig is SUPER quiet even when playing The Witcher 3 on ULTRA. After awhile you can hear a slight increase in fan noise but it is still extremely quiet. My other goal was to make a rig that would act as a STEAM BOX alternative. So if I wanted to play on my TV and with a controller I could move it with ease. The case, with all components installed, is not very light but it is well made and durable. I have not had any problems with any of the components so far (fingers crossed). Great thing about this case is it keeps everything very cool along with the CPU cooler; it does its job well. Cable management...it can be a bit dicey with any of the smaller cases. I'm sure someone could do a better job than me. There are a lot of places to attach zip-ties to the case. Great build Corsair!

You can stick any priced build in this case and I recommend it. This case is great! (I also do film editing so having this CPU with multi-threading helps with both my addictions.)

Looking to overclock but I'm not really sure how. Anyone have any tips; where to start?? I have just been doing what I can with the build in BIOS stuff that ASUS provides.

The other story here i about 4K monitors. This build was been updated. Bought the DELL U34. Steep price BUT you get what you pay for!! Great for gaming and video editing. Screen size provides alot of workspace for those who need a ton of windows up. So look no further if you are looking for a 4K ultra wide ultra HD monitor.

Some days when I see these builds I think...." You know what I'm going to make one!" and then I see the internals with all the cables and I suddenly feel content with a mid size case haha. Great build!

How do you feel about that headset?

I started with the Logitech G930's and I was satisfied then at the end of 30 days I decided to see what I was missing and I bought the Corsair H2100 and I noticed a difference. The sound sounded more rich to me and I instantly fell in love with them. After you find the right angle they fit perfectly. Felt weird on my head at first. ONLY CONS: the USB dongle doesn't have the same strength and range as the G930's. Other than that they are amazing!

So many 4790k/GTX 970 builds lately and this one really stands out from the crowd in that form factor with that case choice. I really like it and it really makes me want to start on a mini ITX build. Good job!

Don't get me wrong, I like this build. However, the case reminds me of an old ice chest I used to have. It was small, black and yellow (painted it that way) and I could pack just enough beers in it to make a fishing trip pleasant.

Why do I want to turn that case into a beer cooler so bad! LoL.

The cable management for that thing is scary though, I got to admit. Kudos to you for keeping that **** tightly packed and out of the way. Nothing screws cooling more than having those cables in the way.

I keep looking at it thinking it looks like a giant emergency flashlight. Don't get my wrong, its nice, but once you see it, it can't be unseen kinda thing!

I have no idea. My college, at the time, was throwing away 5 of them. So I snagged one.

Just finished playing The Witcher 3: CPU- 32 C (89.6 F) MOBO- 30 C (86 F) GPU- 38 C (100.4 F)

+1. Love the yellow 380T case and your component choices. My 250D build is only a week old and I almost want to start a second build using a 380T just so that I can play around with this case.

Hi there, I'm currently in the middle of building with this case with very similar components to you. I've got a couple of questions if you don't mind.

  1. Did you have issues with the IO shield being a bit out of line when you installed the motherboard?
  2. How did you install the H100i? Did you attach the radio tor to the care first and then put the block in the CPU, or the other way around?
  3. Do you have any cable management tips as I can see it's going to be incredibly crampt?

Love the build, hoping to finish mine tonight. Thanks.

Hi there, thanks for the offer. I've built my PC now. I managed to sort the IO shield it was very stiff to get in I just needed to give it force that didn't feel comfortable. The H100i was a actually quite easy to install I attached it to the bracket first and then to the mob , the hardest bit was getting the bracket back in! I faffed quite a bit with cable management but I removed the HDD trays as I went with two SSDs which made the cable management much easier.

Loving the system though, had it built for nearly 3 months.

Here is a link to my build if you are interested: https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/user/Robioto/saved/#view=JDgWGX
