Description

For the most part this was - NEW STUFF! MUST TRY! A bit of gaming, a bit of production. Never at the same time. This is my second build.

I decided to try ryzen almost 2 years ago. I have been biding my time, making new lists with old parts and finally, in April I got everything.

First off, I accidentally put my cooler on sideways. It blows the air up it. I haven't fixed it as it's been running great, cool and wonderful. but if I want to add more RAM I'll need to fix.

I was hoping to get a Vega Card but they didn't come out quick enough so I settled for a RX470 and a pair of Free Sync Monitors...oh. Neglected to put my Card in the build. It's a Sapphire.

so far, so good fellows I am loving my amazingly quiet, cool to run machine. I may upgrade to a Vega GPU in the future but given the bundles and such I might wait.

Sorry for the bad photos. I mostly suck at this.

Part Reviews

CPU

I have not had any issues with this CPU since building in April. Runs cool when I'm gaming. I like to multi task, so I have game, video (or music), and a little light reading.

I'm a) not pushing this thing hard I know and b) LOVING it.

CPU Cooler

Getting this to work was way too much trouble. Ordered it on Amazon found out I needed to get the bracket from the producer because it didn't ship with it.

Fair enough, new socket. Bracket was free. The Bracket was apparently pre ordered forever and it took 3 weeks for it to be available for me to "order"

Got the bracket and...I thought I'd figured it out but I put it on side ways. So the instructions not clear. But It's a quiet fan and it keeps my CPU cool.

Motherboard

IT's great. It does what mobos do. I did not take RGB advantage though.

Memory

Enjoying the memorry. I wish the "breathing" effect was synced but it's pretty RAM and doing the trick

Storage

Awesome. Boots things like a dream.

Storage

Thing is a tank. I just swapped it from my old build. It's a great data disc.

Case

Bigger than my last case but Love the design and the build was mostly easy. Great case to work with.

Monitor

Got Color config file before I got these. They're sleek and the experience has been lovely.

The prices all depend on when they were bought, location, and if they are the actual prices that were paid. I know on one of my builds the prices listed were higher than what I actually got them for. Don't forget the parts were secured in April. That CPU could have been that much at the time. The HDD was swapped from a previous build if I'm reading it correctly.

Anyway, nice build you have there. Enjoy it!

Like the tower, going for a smaller size though in my build. Using that same motherboard too, and while I know that the motherboard is a bit overpriced, I still want that sweet RGB

I actually held out for Vega. To be honest I'm....a tad disappointed. Think of how long ago I could have just purchased a 1080, lol. Nice build though. Hopefully if the prices ever go down to normal you can still get your Vega card.

It was a joke, lighten up. I happen to still be using the OG phantom full tower that I bought mid 2011 when it was a new case. Its a nice case, never said anything offensive to OP nor did I insult or as you put it "bash" him for the case.

Well that is solely dependent on one's financial situation. It seems too expensive to you, but if you have the cash to spend then obviously it's not going to be a big deal. Keep in mind someone worried about their budget would try to save money wherever applicable. Why be bothered about someone else's money?

Could've also bought the 1700 which is cheaper but performs the same, and also has a cooler which performs as good as the 212.

Absolutely a great point...I saw shiney! And the 1700s had flown off the shelf because of that good point.

I'd planned on it but I jumped at what was available.
