Wanted a small HTPC using some existing parts from a previous server, simply added the mSATA SSD and a thin case (small enough to fit in a LACK TV Bench). This PC will also come with me to LANs with friends from now on, much easier to transport!
Recently rebuilt to have i5 3450 upgraded to a used i7 3770. Also picked up a used GTX 1050 Ti to allow gaming.
Deepcool HTPC-200 cooler is a great value at only $20 CAD, however the 3770 idles at ~62C on it, under full load it only goes up to around ~72C (from 500RPM to 2200RPM). I think this is more an issue with the old Intel board not being able to spin up the CPU fan regardless of how I config it in the BIOS. To resolve this I have a Scythe Big Shuriken 2 Rev B on the way.
Storage is the only thing left to upgrade for now, most likely I will put in another 500GB SSD in the near future to allow a few larger games to stay installed.
Node 202 is a great case to work with for it's size, my only issue is with the bottom part. Its awkward to remove and BE VERY CAREFUL NEAR THE USB when putting the bottom back on, if you snap it on wrong it will break those connectors right off.
