Not much to say about this really, it's big and does its job.

from completed build Cor Caeruleus

Great drive for gamers. Has good access time, 5 year warranty, and the noise is comparable to a WD Blue 1TB. If this is on sale for 150, get it if you need one.

Just cause you need a good data drive

from completed build Silent Lightning

Kinda loud, but great performance. Good for mass storage and holding games.

from completed build Midori

Great storage value. It's a black drive so you know already.

from completed build FL Studio Rig 2015

Fastest 7200 RPM drive on the market and plenty of storage. Runs a little warm, but the warranty says 5 years so I'm not worried at all.

While many people are going with SSD drives, I'm just not sold on their reliability as I tend to keep my computers for many years. I also can't justify getting a Velociraptor drive so the next best option is the Black line. I've always gone with WD drives as I've seen their drives outlive the competitors in systems at work.

WD Black is tried and true.

from completed build The Tiburón (Shark)

Only able to use 2TB instead of the full 3TB

Great drive with no compatibility or boot issues. Price/Gb ratio isn't as appealing as a Seagate Barracuda's but you do get the reliability with this drive over others.
